The New Moon drama CD, which you can find subbed on Youtube, is like a YukaMitsu fanfic performed by the actors. It ends with Mitsuru's mom basically telling her daughter that she'd be fine if Mitsuru brought Yukari home as her girlfriend. Better yet, P4AU makes it clear the drama is canon.

Elizabeth is a weird otherworldly girl who knows very little about humans. Why wouldn't she treat FeMC mostly the same as the guy? Besides, there is at least one major difference; she's much less direct about asking FeMC to sleep with her, to the point many think it isn't possible.

As for "maybe", it's much clearer that she has sex with the heroine than most het options.

the reason Elizabeth's route is the same regardless of which protagonist you chose is because the developers intended you to pick Theodore instead of Elizabeth when playing as the female protagonist. i appreciate that they allowed players to choose between the two, but i still don't really understand why the choice is even there especially since it doesn't exist for the male protagonist. also i think the fact that Elizabeth's route is copied and pasted proves that it is actually yuri because if they're basically identical you can't argue that Elizabeth falls in in love with the male protagonist but not the female protagonist.

She is somewhat self-centered, but she's hardly lacking in empathy when it's called for. She's the one who approaches Mitsuru and breaks her out of her dspression after her father's death and becomes a loyal friend to her after that. She talks a lot about her father's death because the Kirijos covered it up and she understandably wants to find out what happened, which was surely the bigger reason for her move to the dorm. As for her mom, it's implied she became a middle-aged party girl, which few teenagers would want to see out of their mother.

During her social link Yukari says she hasn't seen her mother in almost 10 years. Yukari's mom shipped her 7-8 year old daughter somewhere away because having to deal with a child didn't allow her to live the life she wanted to live. That's a pretty good reason for Yukari to be pissed at her mother if you ask me.

FeMC was only there because she was basically an easy sprite/text swap and they needed something to sell the game on since they cut so much for the PSP version. I'm surprised it turned out as well as it did and I'm more surprised they actually had /u/ options for her. It sucks they probably won't do it again but it's not something I would have expected in the first place and I'm not going to condemn the whole series and everyone who likes it over it. Thats really underselling it imo. FeMC had different social links with entirely different people. She wasn't just a replace and paste job.

Dual protagonists was definitely intended from the beginning considering P3's party members social links were split across genders (meaning you wouldn't have access to all party member social links regardless of which gender you chose).
