Unless you feel like there are more important things you'd like to see, I'd recommend it. Kagawa is a nice change from the whole megalopolis stuff in Tokyo and locals might be interested in talking to you since gaijin tourists are a rarity in the sticks. Just remember to plan an efficient route in advance if you want to visit multiple places in Yuushaland because the public transport is nowhere near as convenient than in Tokyo and might cost you lots of precious time.

The bridge is at Sakaide, so that would be a separate stop already. You also need to take a bus to get there from Sakaide station, so it's kinda tricky. But right next to Sakaide station you have the Ines/AEON mall on the northern side and the sculpture from the last 4koma chapter to the south, so you could visit those when you're already there. Marugame has the castle in walking distance from the station but not much else yuusha-wise. Then you've got Kanonji with the pilgrimage journal at Taishoubashi Plaza right across the station. Kameya/Tsuruya might also be nice to visit for the udon, though it's a bit of a walk from there. Kashima Shrine, the one where Tougou feeds Yuuna her first botamochi, is also great.
I guess those would be the core sights in the three yuusha towns. Visiting them all might be too much for just one day, so you should think about which ones you'd like to see.
Also, if you go by train instead of taking a plane you can enter Shikoku via Okayama using the Seto-Ohashi. Might be worth it.

Was re-reading WaSuYu and I noticed the dialogue in Yuuna and Tougou's first meeting scene is slightly different from the flashback scene in the YuYuYu anime.

I wonder which is canon?

To the people who don't understand Japanese, 光華 follows NoWaYu chapters 6-8 and 白鳥歌野と藤森水都の日常 follows Utano's chapter pretty closely, you can probably understand what's going on just by reading along the chapter with the voices. Utano pretty much speaks English anyway.

This means Yuuna suddenly becoming a delinquent, Chikage suddenly suggesting the heroes make an idol unit, and Wakaba suddenly becoming a cat. That last one is the funniest thing I've ever heard, you HAVE to hear it.
5. 白鳥歌野と藤森水都の日常 - Audio version of Utano's chapter. I thought it would just be everyday SoL based off the name, but it's the whole chapter - Utano's amazing speech, them talking about their dreams of the future, arguments with Wakaba about soba vs udon, and Mito talking as they go into their final battle.

People who go in expecting Madoka 2 (or MGRP, I would assume) tend to be disappointed. It's closer to Gakkou Gurashi in the style of suffering, the first half is mainly SOL (with some hot blooded battles) and the suffering is in the latter half, by which time you should have gotten attached to the characters, which makes it hurt that much more. If it's the suffering you're in it for you'll probably enjoy it if you stick with it. The Nogi Wakaba is a Hero prequel LN is vastly more depressing for what it's worth, you should check that out at least.

On another note, I've been rewatching the scene where Tougou visits Marugame castle and have beem wondering if her remark about "our nation and its history" didn't simply refer to glorious Nippon, but specifically to the history of the Taisha's Shikoku which had its origin at that very location. In episode 8, she also talks about "the fighting spirits (eirei, as in "spirits of fallen heroes") that protected our nation". And even though she knew neither about the Vertex nor about a previous generation of heroes, it feels to me like Tougou has at least some vague (and probably heavily altered) information of what happened around the beginning of the divine era.

You can read the VNs and 4komas whenever you want, it's just bonus material. The first VN is set between episode 3 and 4 and the second VN is set after the show. The 4komas go through the whole show and afterwards.

The YuYuYu and WaSuYu mangas have only just come off hiatus so there's no point, the NoWaYu manga should be started after you've read chapter 12 of the LN and then one chapter read along with every LN chapter after that for maximum impact (they timed it perfectly).
