I can't handle You secretly pining for Chika. I'm embarrassed to admit I'd rather her be straight. She was my favorite from the beginning, and I wished she got more screen time even as I got swept up with ChikaRiko. I thought You's ep was resolved sweetly, and I still don't think it was decisively the second-place finish that many people regard it as (for reasons that I've enumerated before and don't seem worth bringing up again at this point.) Of course ChikaRiko gets the most yuribait, but I don't think ChikaYou is dead. I guess I'll just be grateful that the many possible interpretations of the girls' relationships allows everyone to be happy, and hope that You shines in S2. It might be a cop-out, but it can't be helped. I won't accept an unhappy end for school idols unless it's canon.

As someone looking to maybe write a fic for KotoUmi, what's their "gimmick" - for lack of a better term?

For instance, Nicomaki is the slap-slap-kiss kind of relationship. HanaRin is pure, innocent love. NozoEli is kind of about two partners who lean on one another equally and cover each other's weaknesses/support each other's strengths.
