Aeru was pretty awesome in my opinion. The only one who understood that there "praying" was actually war, and she loved every bit of it.

I think it's true that she saw simouns as tools that could be used in war times and didn't care so much for praying but I'm not sure if she was so much a 'blood seeker'. She has that episode where she freaks out when cutting that dudes hand off (which is messed up so I get the reaction), the war kind of gets a bit more real after that.

I've read some theories about how Aaeru’s grandfather is actually Amuria. I didn't really think about it at the time but it kind of fit when you think about it

It explains how a commoner was able to fly the Simoun so well, what happened to Amuria and why they never found the body.

Also would explain the fact that Aaeru drew the Emerald Ri Maajon by accident in the pool, and really the only one who would be able to teach something so powerful to someone from a less than prestigious background. After all, which random grandfather would just happen to obsess about the unknown Emerald Ri Maajon other than the very person who was sent back in time on one.

I did, and no, 50% of the game isn't on the showers, not even 10%. Before anything I want to state I stopped playing after finishing chapter 11 or so, not because I didn't like it but because with my limited knowledge of Japanese at the time I couldn't grasp everything, so I put it off for later when I advanced more in my Japanese studies. I did understand that the plot was about some girls from the past wanting to wake up a princess but I don't remember what that implied.

Anyway, basically you play as Aeru aboard the Messias; you have a limited number of minutes before you get sent to a mission, with the spare minutes you can visit up to 5 rooms (because 50 minutes I think) where you can encounter other characters, or spend your time in the training room to level up them. In this mode it's basically a visual novel, you speak with characters and get choices that influence how much they like you. In the game menu you can see the top 3 characters that like you the most, pic related. After your time runs out you get dispatched to a mission, first you get a visual novel of the continuation of the plot and then the actual battle, after the battle it's again visual novel and when you reach the Messias you can choose which character to bath with, sometimes Neviril isn't avaliable, so that's basically the only time you bath with someone. After the bath part a new chapter begins and you get another visual novel before being thrown to the game menu where you can choose which rooms to visit.

This show hyped rape a few times, but ended up not actually having any.

Tempus Spatium tries its best to look after its priestesses. Although I'm pretty certain it's a thousand-year-old malfunctioning superweapon, so you can't really blame it for the weirder things it does.

I think it means Dominuura and Rimone couldn't become eternal maidens, they keep growing and getting old. If they don't go to the spring they will eventually fade away.

Aeru and Neviril are shown to travel through time, so they were the ones who could actually become eternal maidens and won't die or whatever happens when you turn into dust.

Here's how I saw it: Dominura and Limone did a different Emerald Ri Maajon than Aaeru and Neviril did. The Simoun became weapons in the first place because regular religious/ceremonial Ri Maajon become destructive when performed with "battle intent". Dominura & Limone did a "battle intent" Emerald Ri Maajon, which isn't actually desctructive, but it carries the Sybillae performing it to a different space/time. Aaeru & Neviril did the pure Emerald Ri Maajon, the ultimate Ri Maajon that allows the Sybillae to become "eternal maidens" and flow through space/time at their will. Dominura and Limone didn't have the chance to become eternal maidens, but at the end of the series they intend to go and attempt the "pure" Emerald Ri Maajon - which I would like to think they succeeded at, and they became the first pair to create the whole Emerald Ri Maajon legend.

I have to disagree with that.
Everything we see in the show seems to indicate that Simoun were designed to be weapons of war long, long ago. There's only two Ri Maajon that we see that don't have destructive capability.

I think Dominura and Limone just built the Tempus Spatium religion around the Simoun, turning them from weapons of war into objects of worship.

As for why the Emerald Ri Maajons have different outcomes, I think that's just how they are. It's nothing to do with 'purity', just badly understood technology.

A minor point but I think Tempus Spatium came first. I always got the impression it was some kind of system that nobody understood any more and the Simoun (and all the other crazy tech) were just conduits for it.

They're not machines, remember. The helical motors are empty. Whatever makes them fly comes from somewhere else.

Some of the theories I've read say that something happened to Limone leaving Dominura alone, but I don't remember the justification for this. The difference between Onassia/Dominura yes, I think they're the same person and Yun is because of a theme that seems to run thruout the series: Choice and Choosing. Onassia said she couldn't choose so she didn't, however Yun made a choice to BECOME the one watching over everyone else's choice. I have a feeling she's not going to suffer the same fate as Onassia.

Not exactly sure, but note that these don't show up until AFTER Dominura & Limone perform the failed Emerald (or Jade) Ri Majon, so it probably has something to do with what they did after they timejumped.
