Deep down I knew the cons were gonna happen, which is why I'm primarily in it for Alex/Maggie.

I guess this is the only place where I'll actually review (spoiler'd, you've been warned) the episode honestly since I try to hide my power-level everywhere else:

From a /u/ perspective, we may never get to see Alex dating other girls, just Maggie, which is kind of a disappointment considering I kinda wanted floundering new lesbian Alex figuring out girls, but they immediately reward her with her endgame girl like right away. I wanted real character development damn it, not some "Hey, this is a 3 step process into my pants" thing like they did, you save endgame girl for the finale. I didn't really want Alex struggle with her identity for all of about 3 episodes, have everyone be fine with it (As much as I hate drama overall, the character development of coming to terms that not everyone is OK with your discoveries and decisions is worth it), and then get the "I had a near death experience that changed my mind" excuse just giving to her the girl of her dreams in the mid-season finale. I was in this for the long game, but they took nearly every available plot shortcut to get the mid-season finale kiss in. Of course, I guess I'm just a sucker for romance and intrigue with my superheros, and this felt like cheating on a test.

The other parts of the episode were on par with the rest of the season, Kara/Mon-el get pushed hard this episode, not too surprising, called that as soon as I saw him in the season 1 finale. "OH NO! HE'S HOT!" if you catch my drift of Squidward related humor. The heel turn of Lena at the end of the episode was an interesting twist for a Luthor, considering our experience with Lex Luthor in most other media, you'd expect Lena to be just as evil as her step-brother and the episode really tried to play that angle, but the twist ended up being predictable. Also, Super-Science Saves The Day Again!

The fake "Iron Man" is Toni Ho, the genius daughter of the guy who helped Stark make his armor. The blonde lady is Aikku Jokinen, a Finnish-Norwegian lesbian teenager whose english needs work. before Hickman's "Infinity" event a few years ago, she was involuntarily merged into a super-powerful robot named POD. POD was intelligent, and Aikku was mindlinked with her/it. POD was killed last issue and gave her/its life to save Aikku: what Aikku is wearing now is the lightly armored undersuit.

Toni Ho and Aikku will continue their adventures in USAvengers, also by Ewing, which is one of the very few Marvel books I care about. The first issue contains Toni Ho as Iron Patriot, Squirrel Girl leading a squadron of flying squirrels with jetpacks, and a giant helicarrier base that is also a volcano. And that's just in the first three pages.

The actresses did an enterview in the last Comicon where they were pretty open about the kiss being nothing but fanservice, they talked about gay characters in the show, i assume Kevin and his bf, and the fact that both their characters are going to have other love interest outside of Archie, and they said that no, not with eachother.

I think this being helmed in by the writer of Afterlife is going to have something for /u/, the girl they choose to play Ginger is really qt but she seems kinda young, and they threw some info about Ethel, Jughead old ''love interest'' not being into him in this version and being into someone ''surprising''...i'm not really stoked for the character considering she is played by Barb from Stranger Things, i hated the character and the weird cult following she got...but whatever.

That said, can you Clexatards give it a rest...the CW wasn't the only channel that killed lesbians this year or last year or any year.
