Yuru Yuri and the Oomuro-ke spinoff, Tachibanakan, Itou Hachi's fox girls, hell even a real season of InuNeko could have taken their place. Outside of YH there are many long running series that could be adapted in the future like Bloom Into You (very successful despite only on 3rd volume), A Kiss and White Lily (5+ volumes, multiple audio cds), Murcielago (9+), Virgin's Empire (10+), Miss Sunflower (7+), Shinozaki-san (7+), and of course there are many other yuri MTKirara series that rarely get talked about because no one translates them. Centaur's Worries just got announced too so there is hope yet for a brighter /u/ future.
