I watch the anime and that's what it's saying to me because the writing is so shitty.

Rewatch every Fine/Izetta scene and tell me Fine truly gives a fuck about Izetta the person. 9 times out of 10 the only thing she talks about is Izetta's powers, or she makes some nice comment to Izetta and then goes right back to talking about Izetta's powers. I'm not saying it's not yuri, I'm saying Fine has some issues.

As for Bianca and the spy, that was pure Yoshino doing his level best to fuck up the series. Unless this prince Henry appears and really tries to move for Fine we won't have to worry about future attempts.

Still looking at the setting the only way for this getting good yuri end for both Izetta and Fine is Fine would abdicate after the war and name her cousin a successor and she would be just a regent until he grows older officialy so after stepping down she could live her happy life with Izetta, and for that to happen they both would have to be alive at the end too.

He was probably feeling some remorse over the fact that they had to find themselves in the positions they were in, simply due to the fact that they were on different sides of a conflict. He also was probably a little aware of his impending and inescapable demise.

That aside, while I personally have littler problem with them falling for each other, AND I have little problem with it causing Rickert to waver, since this was his first time on a mission, it does bother me that Bianca apparently got so emotionally invested. She should be the professional, and a little more unflappable than that. Otome heart or no.
But maybe it's as I think someone implied earlier, and this was the first time she had to kill someone she'd made a friend of.
