Sad Ships Edition.

It's a few days late however here's the new live action thread. Discuss lesbians and lesbian ships in film, tv, and theatre.

We also don't need a constant one

More lesbians in Westworld. There was a new female guest who gets propositioned by a prostitute and accepts. The lesbian stuff in every episode so far gives me hope that the lesbian host tech will get something significant in a future episode.

That's a Carmilla thread. Also having threads when people wanna discuss stuff isn't bad. It's better than having twelve live action threads up. The last one wasn't slow.

Have some random older women kissing in some Brazilian soap. It's rare that you see senior gay characters.

Did anyone see A Girl at My Door? It's a Korean drama about an ambiguous, sexually charged relationship between an alcoholic lesbian cop and an abused teenage girl.

Different anon, but you're an idiot if you think that people are going to see the Carmilla thread and think "Oh boy, this singular very specific topic must be the general thread." It's the equivalent of having a Simoun thread and assuming that it's going to be the age gap general. That's clearly not the intention of the thread and people aren't even going to bother looking there, let alone neglect any sense of courtesy by hijacking it for their own purposes.

Besides, Carmilla is just a subset of live action and should therefore be merged into the live action general--not the other way around. Not enough people here care about Carmilla for it to warrant it's own thread on /u/. That's just common sense.

Thanks for the rec.
sure, their relationship can be perceived as "sexually charged" at times but I think it's because Dohee's still a child and doesn't know much about boundaries. She grew up in a fucked up childhood and probably likes the officer so much because she gives her protection and enjoyment, things she really needed. Kind of like a mother figure.
I don't know about the officer though. Maybe more awkward and cautious, but protective definitely. She might be lonely and/or depressed since she's an outcast due to her gayness so she enjoys Dohee's company

Dohee's definitely trying to make the officer into everything she's missing in life, a mother, role model, best friend and lover. Still, I think she's genuinely attracted to the officer, which is most clear in the scene where she gets her in trouble by apparently sharing a sexual fantasy with the social workers.

Black Mirror's new season has an episode (S03E04) with lesbian romance as its focus. It's brilliant and my favorite not only because of the /u/ content.
Unexpectedly it also managed to be the only episode in the entire series with a happy/hopeful ending, which I find rather hilarious due to what we know of TV.
Extremely beautiful in both vision and sound, and with a theme which is very personal and significant to every human (unlike some other episodes which are more about social critique).
Subtle cues to the setting, and a large number of references to the time period (80's) are peppered throughout the episode very skillfully; amusing but never overbearing.

If you've never watched Black Mirror, you can skip straight to this episode if you want, since none are connected by more than the setting.
And for those who have, it was directed by the director of Season 2 episode "Be Right Back" which was similarly a more personal tale than usual.
>>
>>2172477
I saw some gifs from that episode yesterday and I was thinking of watching the show. The overall premise of it sounds interesting and I can't believe I haven't heard of it until now.
It's good to know that I don't have to watch all the episodes prior to S03E04 to get what's going on, though I do intent to watch the show thoroughly. Thanks for the info! I'll give it a try, definitely.
>>
>>2172484
In case you only watch a single episode for whatever reason: Watch the Christmas Special.
>>
>>2172477

>which I find rather hilarious due to what we know of TV

I know, right? As a long time Black Mirror fan, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and for the show to descend into it's usual bleak, nihilistic tone. Imagine my delight at the end I'm half convinced the show-runners were aware of the irony when they made this episode.

Also Yorkie a qt I thought she was a replicant or android before the hospital reveal
>>
>>2172492
I thought the Christmas Special was one of the weaker episodes. The twist is easy to guess and the satire is kind of vague.
>>
>>2172492
For me it's
1) San Junipero (>>2172477)
2) The Entire History of You (memory and jealous husband)
3) Be Right Back (the grieving wife and the AI)
4) The National Anthem (1st episode, with the pig)
5) White Christmas
I believe most everyone will have differing rankings in the case of Black Mirror.
>>
So Maggie took whatever-her-name-is to a gay alien bar, or something, in the last Supergirl episode.

I thought they were rather overbearing, which was actually clever. Of course a nostalgic simulation of 1987 is going to be nothing but hits.

>>2172779
>I'm half convinced the show-runners were aware of the irony when they made this episode.
Charlie Brooker read media studies at university and has a long background in tv criticism, so I'd be very surprised if it wasn't intentional. That, or it's the power of lesbianism melting his icy black heart.

Alex being a teenage lesbian in the closet flashback ep or a Jeremiah Danvers flashback episode that would end with a reveal of him being Cyborg Superman in the present?
>>
>>2173694
If the what you wrote in the spoiler happens it'll happen around the midseason finale or something. The thing with Alex will be sooner, I'm guessing they would like to get that over as soon as possible judging by how fast things went in the Welcome to Earth episode. They went from "Who the fuck are you" to "Didn't think you cared" flirting rather fast.
>>
>>2173694
The only person she ever was shown on a "date" with was Max Lord and she was thoroughly disgusted by it. At first in a kind of "The shit I put up with for the DEO.." kind of way since Lord is a scumbag sociopath who wants to kill her sister, but now retroactively in a "I'm not even interested in men, what the fuck am I doing?" way.

If anything, Alex always being a lesbian makes so much more sense, and realistically she's the only one of the main cast that they could convincingly retcon without it seeming heavy handed.

Also, the spoiler is pretty much my hope for Mr. Dr. Danvers, because that would be somewhat poetic. They also need to have Kara comment about how Ray looks familiar.
>>
>>2173947
They could pretty much do whatever they want with Alex since she was solely created for the show then added in the new Supergirl comic book run so she wasn't originally a comic book character and she has no "canon sexuality". Baically having her be a lesbian is no far fetched at all.

>They also need to have Kara comment about how Ray looks familiar
Yeah. I also look forward to the Kara.Sara interactions since is pretty much confirmed by Word of God that she will have a little crush on Kara.
>>
>>2173959
True. I'm speaking of in-universe context for Alex, since she wasn't a comic character before this. Kinda disappointed that Maggie isn't a blonde..

Also looking forward to Sara being smitten by Kara as well. Sara is best girl on LoT and was best girl on Arrow for the few episodes she was in, way better than Laurel.
>>
>>2171935
I find that doubtful. The big age difference betwwen Carol and Therese is the point of it.
>>
>>2171284
>In the movie tbqh she comes off as a womanchild most of the time
To be fair the entire point of her character arc (in the book at least) is Therese coming to terms with her womanhood and sexuality so she spends a lot of the story being awkward and childish. It comes across even stronger in the book since basically everyone constantly infantilizes her.
>>
I want clarification on what's the stance on shipping real people.
>>
>>2175505

Please no. The stalking is just too much. There's a forum dedicated to RLS, and it's absolutely terrifying.
>>
>>2175505
Just out of curiosity, why do you ask?
>>
>>2175505

/u/ doesn't do that. I don't think it's specifically against the rules but it's not that interesting. I think idol threads used to be popular but nowadays they get less than 30 replies.

I admit, I have read real person fics. I have shipped a few rp ships however it always makes me feel embarrassed and gross. I don't get how people can unironically be in real person fandoms like bandoms or Youtuber fandoms. It just makes me feel uncomfortable. I can only feel okay if the person has been dead for over 100 years, and even then it feels like you're desecrating their memory sometimes.
>>
>>2175742
Idolshipping feels different from other kinds of real life shipping, given how much they pander to it. It's not really an invasion of privacy when the shipbait is freely provided by the people in question.

Anybody heard of a possible Xena remake with lesbian maintext? Has this been confirmed?
>>
>>2176712
Confirmed that the gay elements will be present in some capacity, unconfirmed but likely that they will fuck it up.
>>
>>2176712
I'm still baffled by the decision to remake such a classic.
They'll fuck it up.
>>
>>2176724
>>2176719
In a perfect world, I imagine a remake being more like the show Rome meets Buffy.

A less campier version of the original with both Xena and Gabrielle in love and traversing the world experiencing history (and the legends) through their perspective. I mean so pretty much the same as the original but more serious.

I think there is an honest opportunity to make the show better, I can see how it could be done. I think a more serialized structure might be an improvement. Also, being able to bring X/G to main-text would open it up for some good side-plots. A big worry however would obviously be that we don't have two people who look as good together as Xena and Gabrielle did.

Also, would be interesting if Ares was female.
>>
South of Nowhere was pretty good for a teen drama show. Certainly better, and gayer, than Degrassi.

>>2176712

Do not want. I can't picture anyone but Lawless as Xena. Just give me a comic or cartoon instead. Also, I feel they'll push Xena/Gabrielle too hard. I liked how it was in the original series--obvious and affectionate but not the driving point.

>>2176724

There's nothing inherently wrong with remakes. It being a classic is why they would remake it.
>>
>>2176760
>I liked how it was in the original series
I'm all for nostalgia and I like the idea of an understated and affectionate romance that doesn't get focus but I'm still looking forward a female-only romance that doesn't get het/cheating/death/etc tropes thrown at it to spice it up. Until it airs and ruins my hopes I can fantasize that this possibility will be reality.

The writers are rushing to get to Maggie x Alex in Supergirl, the beginning of the real deal will most likely be episode 6.

>Alex faces a new reality.
>>
>>2177939
does this include the extended parts?
>>
>>2179606
I feel like even if that actually happens I wouldn't be able to make it through the first season. Too bad it didn't start the /u/ side couple right away like Wynonna Earp.
>>

What if Ares was a girl?
>>
>>2178376

>>2179639

>>
>>2179624
The first season doesn't really get good until the like 4th episode. It's not really /u/ related until season 2, except in ep4 has one line that implies one of the characters in the episode is a lesbian.

>>2179606
While it feels rushed, it's very subtle for a CW cape show. I wonder what kind of new reality Alex will be in, the just in lesbians with Maggie kind or an actual new reality like Earth-1 or something.
>>
>>2179907
>I wonder what kind of new reality Alex will be in, the just in lesbians with Maggie kind or an actual new reality like Earth-1 or something
Nah, it's obvious they are referring to Alex coming to terms and hopefully exploring her sexuality / newfound attraction, etc.
The only one who'll go to Earth-1 is Kara for the 4-night-crossover, but that will come sometime around episode 8 or 9. From what I've gathered the crossover will start on Supergirl when Barry and Cisco go through a breach to recruit Kara's help.
>>

>>2179624
Is the show itself that bad?
>>
>>2179972
It's really not that bad if you don't have your expectations bar set too high, or better yet have no expectations at all. It can be cheesy at times but it's overall just comfy and fun and even heartwarming.
>>

I guess, that makes the most sense.

How are the current Elphaba and Glinda? I have seen promo ads on tv and the Elphie seems cool. Nice deep voice, nice look, etc. I have sadly never seen Wicked because no one in my family likes theatre but me, but I've been rereading Wicked for the 4th time and I can pay for my own tickets now so...

My friend got last minute tickets to see Wicked on Broadway, and all I can say is don't sit in the back row. I've seen better theatre etiquette at a 2$ mall theatre. Two drunk girls showed up 15 minutes after the actors came on stage and sat beside us. Some fat guy sat in front of us and proceeded to eat an entire bag of chips, and then started checking his phone and made a couple calls. No ushers to be seen. The performance was great, but the experience wasn't worth $160 plus the trip to Manhattan.

I'm looking forward to more details on the movie. I wish they would make an animated version and hire the original cast as VA's, but they'll probably make it live action and hire film actors instead of a theatrical cast.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. While Alex/Maggie is nice and I'm sure I'll enjoy the rollercoaster, Supes/Lena blindsided me, mostly due to Lena's awkwardness in begging Kara to get Supergirl to the gala. It was like watching a high school girl trying to convince her crush to go to prom. It was cute.

How do /u/ feel about Jennifer's Body (2009)?

>Guilty pleasure
This. I watch it when it pops up on TV sometimes, but only for the eye candy.
>>
>>2189112
Honestly, I think it's pretty good and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Megan Fox has said in the past that she played Jennifer in the mindset that she was a lesbian and it shows. It's some of her best work that I've seen. Of course, I've only really seen her in Transformers, so that's probably not saying much. Now if only Diablo Cody could have been a little braver.
>>
>>2189118
>Megan Fox has said in the past that she played Jennifer in the mindset that she was a lesbian and it shows
Yeah, I rememeber her mentioning that in an interview.

She worked really well with Amanda, I kinda hope they'll do another collaboration in the future.
>>
>>2189118
It's not the best horror film ever, but the hate it gets seems completely unjustified for me, unless it was a delayed negative reaction to Juno or something. Needy and Jennifer have a very interesting relationship, which I particularly appreciate as someone who has probably read too many mushy one-shots about childhood friendship developing into a beautiful pure love that doesn't involve bizarre power plays or anyone getting murdered.

Speaking of underrated horror films with lesbian subtext, did anyone see All the Boys Love Mandy Lane?

Big giant meh. I still think ScarJo is a poor casting choice, shes too slender, more akin to a nimble, agile fighter like Black Widow and not the intimidating, powerful cyborg who could pound my face in like Motoko.

>>2189185
There was one episode where you see Motoko's girlfriend(s) in nightwear casually sitting in her bed and making conversation. Granted, we never see them do anything explicit (the kiss in the trailer is actually more than what the anime shows) and they aren't important characters anyway. Still, the fact they refer to Motoko by first name and act quite comfortable around her bedroom seems to imply they do casual sex regularly.

Not thick enough for this.

Personally, I don't have any problems with her appearance. What bothers me more is the amount of "I never asked for this" drama in the trailer, which wasn't as blatantly present anywhere else. Sure, full-length movies and SAC dealt with identity crisis and all that cyborg mumbo-jumbo, but they were more subtle about it.

Well the movie is not gonna be able to cover much of the anime/maga at all just due to time constraints, so they gotta kinda hamfist it in there that she didn't ask for it at all. I wonder if they'll have a flashback to child Major as a cyborg after the crash.

I'm just hoping it isn't a like a complete plane crash of a movie, if it acts as like a gateway for getting people interested in the series I'll be happy.

well, to be fair, that's not only expecting Hollywood to use subtlety of any kind, but also for them to even understand the nuances of the story they're working with.

I liked this week's episode. Not as much as last week's episode, but it was still pretty good. Gotta love that Danvers sisters relationship, it's one of my favorite things about the show. Because other things may come and go but Kara and Alex will always always love each other the most and against all odds.
On the other hand, I'm still super iffy about Jame's storyline. Back off Jimmy, you ain't no hero.
>>
>>2189719
Their relationship is one of my fav parts of the show, too. We really need more sisters relationships like those two in pop culture. I dread the day she will be killed off "in order to further Kara's growth as a character."

Yeah, that guy's plotline isn't going great. At least my other least fav guy should be interesting next week, if he return.

No, don't even go there, nope. This won't happen. Kara would blow the planet up if Alex were to die.

Kara is a gay space puppy, she just doesn't know it yet. Everybody a little gay in this show. Alex didn't know she's gay during season 1 either but here we are now. Hush now, wishful thinking is good for my fragile heart.

Thats 100% false, they handled the entire thing so fucking well that you pretty much could make a case for how terrible they handle most things when you compare the 'Gay Alex Coming Out' to everything else they have tried to do...seriously the Jimmy thing is horrible.
>>
>>2190251
Jimmy was awful, what a shitty way to introduce Guardian.

As for Alex coming out, it was great, I agree with you. Only thing I cringed at was her jumping on Maggie then getting rejected. Felt like that moved a bit fast and should have been saved for the next episode.
>>

I have done that when browsing Ao3. It's not that hard. If I don't know the characters enough I'll just Google their designs.

I would be for Jimmy being the Guardian if they were going with 'i'm a big superhero fanboy so i would try to help because that looks like fucking fun' instead of trying to make it seem like he is being selfless and DEEP about his DEEP feelings for justice and MAMORU.
They completely fucked up by casting him as Jimmy Olsen instead of a young John Henry Irons.

I only watched webms and read reviews about it but keep in mind that Ellen Page's character gets fucked by her romantic interest who is a guy.

For what I understand there were lesbian undertones between the sisters in the book but not the movie.
>>
If someone hoped for Van Helsing tv show lesbian kiss to mean something more you can give up already, in next episode the main girl immediately falls for a random handsome guy with tragic backstory who is such a great guy where her kiss with him is so much longer than her past kiss with her female friend.
It's like they had to fix that lesbian kiss right away to not get too much negative backslash or something.
>>
>>2193742
Yeah, I heard there's even a sex scene between them in the book so I was wondering if they kept the lesbian undertones in the movie as well, it's a pity if they didn't. Oh well, guess I'll just have to go ahead and read the novel instead.
Though they should've let Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood smooch on screen. They are both openly queer and in the same movie, seems like a good opportunity gone to waste.

I understand the directorial decisions in altering the handmaiden from the book and pretty much agree with his decisions, especially due to the time constraints. Is there any /u/ related j- and/or k-drama worth mentioning?

I vaguely remember someone bringing up the series "Doctors" in an older thread on this board some time ago, but after watching the first episode, I'm not so certain anymore if it really was /u/ recommending it.
>>
>>2203318
For J-Dramas, maybe try Majisuka Gakuen? It's silly but it's good if you don't take it too seriously and just go with it. That way it can be fun and it's got plenty of yuri undertones to go with it.

As for K-Dramas, I recently watched Age of Youth and I quite enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between Yi-na and Ye-eun. They have great chemistry and they've definitely got some unresolved sexual tension going on. And then sometimes they are just really fucking cute together

okay, I am watching Warehouse 13, out of curiosity searching some fanart, and saw photo Myka with another woman. I was thought she gonna end up with Pete.
So, this has canon lesbian or just some fanart? If it has, could you tells me from season what ? thanks.
>>
>>2207125
>I was thought she gonna end up with Pete.
So, this has canon lesbian or just some fanart?
The actresses who played Myka and Helena Wells decided to on their own to play their characters as being attracted to one another. The show runners kind of went with it, but never allowed the relationship to go beyond subtext.

In the last season they had Myka and Pete end up together which pissed off a lot of people (including Myka's actress) because a lot of people felt that the characters had developed more of a platonic brother/sister relationship over the course of the show and having them get together felt pseudo-incestuous. The writers even lampshaded that by having Pete realized he was in love with Myka in an episode where an artifact pulled them into telenovela where they were incestuous lovers.

>could you tell me from what season?
They start flirting and eye banging each other in s02e07 and continue to do so in almost every episode they appear together after that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n33UNfjGNPo

>Starring Taylor Dearden (“Ophelia”) and Eliza Bennett (“Jules”), “Sweet/Vicious” is an offbeat superhero story for the millennial generation. Hell-bent on bringing justice to those who get away with abuse on their college campus, Jules and Ophelia take on double lives as wannabe vigilantes. Filled with clumsy attempts and missteps, the odd-couple pair of antiheroes must balance their new secret life with best, friends, parents, love interests, and the metaphorical monsters under their beds. At the core of the f*cked up, hilarious, heartbreaking world of Jules and Ophelia is the heart of the show: two girls, who never felt like they belonged, finding a home in each other… and trying to kick a lot of ass.

Yeah obviously the premise is a cringy SJW anti-male fantasy, but for that exact reason I feel they might go for a lesbian end, and the "finding a home in each other" bit is suggestive.
>>
>>2209288
>mtv
>anti-male fantasy
From this I expect heavy subtext where they are basically acting like a couple until they find some special guy who isn't like all the others. That shit is rampant in western tv.
>>
>>2209288
>MTV
Meh...
From the top of my head I can only recall them fucking up every /u/ related shit they've attempted. That godawful Skins remake in which they turned the lesbian character into a bislut suddenly lusting for the dick. Teen Wolf had two lesbians on screen only to brutally murder them 10 seconds later. They couldn't even pull it off with Faking it and the whole premise of that was the perfect chance for the "let's pretend we're fake dating oops we've fallen in love for real" trope. MTV a shit.
>>
>>2209288
OK, so having watched the first episode, I can report some stuff:

Blonde protag gets kind of uncomfortable and bummed-out when her time with her best friend is interrupted by best friend's boyfriend, I'm getting unrequited crush vibes.
When Blonde protag and green-haired protag first meet, they accidentally murder a guy together and then sing along to the soundtrack of Wicked in the car afterwards while freaking out about disposing of the body.
Based on flashbacks, I'm pretty sure blonde protag was raped and now has an aversion to men - potential lesbian flag
On the other hand green-haired protag starts the episode off waking up with a male one-night stand, and blonde protag gets flustered by a guy and gives him her number near the end of an episode, although the guy is revealed to actually be the step-brother of the guy they murdered earlier, so potentially he will not be a long-term love interest.

Overall, getting a bit of a Thelma and Louise vibe. Like seriously, so many parallels. I will probably keep watching based on the first episode, although will mentally prepare myself for hetshit end.

I can't imagine what its like being thirsty enough to watch this shit. Thanks for taking the bullet for /u/s though.

Are you new?
That's just a normal flag not for lesbian characters but for straight woman who just needs to meet the special guy who will cure her of that fear and make her like men in comfortable way all over again, you see it used so many times in almost every media, women who hate men and have aversion to them are never lesbians, just closeted straight characters, and from the rest of your description there you should not hope for any girl/girl romance at all.
>>
>>2209288
How is fighting rapists anti-male? Do you think all men are rapists or something?
>>
>>2209493
I'm willing to bet $20 that the show will never have female rapists.
>>
i'm watching "kiss me" on netflix. it is kind of annoying how longing looks = romance, but it's not bad.
>>
>>2209747
"Kiss Me" is a Yuri NTR I always wanted. Very good movie.
>>
>>2209771
you might like imagine me and you, a movie where the female lead cheats on her husband because she saw a hot girl.

that movie was weird because the entire cast just up and supports her leaving this nice dude because her giney tickles. i'd like more lesbian romcoms but i wish "woman fucks another girl to run from nice guy marriage" would never appear again.
>>
>>2209774
>you might like imagine me and you
Already saw it. Average British romcom.
I liked Kiss Me more coz the cinematography, acting and the story. And I really liked the atmosphere in this movie.
>>
>>2209458
Well, I only said potential lesbian flag.

I've since watched up to episode 4, and there's been more suggestive stuff, like the protags go to green-haired's record shop together and green-haired's friend teases them about being a couple. Green-haired still has no male love interest and I don't see how blonde's love interest can last, since she literally murdered his brother and he's slowly getting closer to finding out.

Like I said, I am preparing for het ending, but I will also dare to dream.
>>
>>2209774
IMaY is only worth watching because the lead actresses have good chemistry.
>>
While we're on the topic of new TV shows, does anyone have a list of shows with /u/-related content that have aired in the last few years? I've heard of Person of Interest, The 100, and Supergirl, but besides that I haven't been paying very close attention to TV.
>>
>>2209900
The 100 a shit, don't watch it.
Person of Interest is decent I guess but don't expect happy endings.
Supergirl is chessy and fun with plenty of /u/ undertones and even canon main lesbians in S2, so yeah definitely watch it.
>>
>>2209900
Person of Interest was pretty great but I almost ragequit it.
I watched The 100 for fun already knowing the spoilers but S1 was horrible with the teen monkeys.
Supergirl is watchable but understandably corny and S1 has kind of a het triangle.
>>
>>2209900
Take My Wife is a 6 episode short comedy about two real life married women comics before they get married.

>>
>>2210110
>once upon a time
No, dude. Don't even think about going there. Everything is pure hetshit and it's just a bad show overall. Well, the first season was decent I'll give it that but then it went downhill and now it's just being dragged on for the sake of it.
The only /u/ it has is that one episode in which Red Riding Hood gets to wake up Dorothy of Oz from the sleeping spell with True Love's Kiss. That's it. Just watch that episode if you want and stay away from the mess that is the rest of the show.

>>2210114
Might be a matter of taste but that show isn't even so bad it's good, it's just mediocre and dumb if you ask me.
>>
>>2210129
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that there's also some /u/ undertones for Sleeping Beauty and Mulan in the first half of season 2 and then later on in an episode of season 3 Mulan attempts to confess her love to Sleeping Beauty but fails miserably and gets her heart broken. Things never go further than that with them of course and that storyline is pretty much abandoned.
>>
>>2210129
>The only /u/ it has is that one episode in which Red Riding Hood gets to wake up Dorothy of Oz
And it was the most straightforward /u/ romance without dumb things in the way mainstream tv served us.
If only it wasn't so shit...
>>
>>2210149
It wouldn't have been so shit if they took their time setting it up the way they do with their het couples but oh well, instead we got a rushed and hardly believable "love story". Frankly it's obvious that they were eager to get it over with so that they wouldn't be criticized anymore for not having any lgbt representation or whatever.
>>
>>2210155
>over with so that they wouldn't be criticized anymore for not having any lgbt representation or whatever.

Has there ever been a GOOD lesbian romance created by people trying to be politically correct? I feel like there are shitty indie films from the 90s that are better than modern-day productions with an actual budget, just because the people making those films actually cared about the subject matter and weren't just attempting to make advertisers happy.
>>
>>2210014
I read somewhere that they (at least at some point) were thinking about a continuation to San Junipero in season 4. That only makes me worried though.
>>
>>2210254
What would be the point of that really. It ended on a happy note, they should just leave it at that. Unless they're thinking to try their hand at a new couple/leads within the same setting or something.
