She didn't. It's probably a collection of her doujins done outside of Comic Yuri Hime. But this could mean that Momono Moto is back and will start a new series in YH in November.

I don't keep very good track of what I spend at events, but it's probably a few 10k yen worth. I would honestly love to buy even more but storage is becoming an increasingly difficult puzzle and I never quite know what to do with things I end up not liking so I try to be a bit picky.

>>2137718
Knock on wood, but I haven't had a problem with this. When I ship stuff to friends I usually try to sandwich the books between some cardboard pieces if I don't think the envelope is enough. The proxy services I've used when buying for myself have generally erred on the side of caution, sometimes they'll ship a couple doujinshi in a box filled with bubble wrap.

>>2137856
It's super fun eh? I love Comitia so much, there's such a fascinating variety of very personal work on display in such a small space and it's so chill and browse-able compared to Comiket (though Comiket's frenetic and overwhelming atmosphere has its own charm). I always leave wishing I had bought more. I'll be exceedingly jealous if you got Hyper Kettle Yesterday's new books, I arrived kind of late and ended up missing them.

>>2138311
>Did anyone find out what happens after the last chapter?
The boyfriend issue is eventually addressed, though it took a bit longer than I expected. If you were hoping for some kind of moral counterbalance to absolve Emi of cheater status (abuse, he cheated first, etc) then you'll be disappointed, but at least it doesn't seem that she was ever seeing them at the same time. As for her emotional investment in said boyfriend (in case you were also concerned about that): it's the usual case of "I didn't know what real feels were, so I just kind of went along with whatever until I met HER".
>>
>>2138434
> moral counterbalance to absolve Emi of cheater status (abuse, he cheated first, etc)

It's been a while since I read those chapters but hadn't they basically suffered a complete breakdown in communication, as in they hadn't shared a single word in several months or something?

And I think Emi felt trapped because they were sharing an apartment and she didn't have a steady income to move out? I really need to re-read the whole thing.
>>
>>2138440
Sorry, I phrased it rather badly but that's sort of what I meant in that she wasn't seeing them at the same time (shouldn't have put it like that because technically she was). Emi and boyfriend obviously weren't on good terms by the time she talked to her friend about the situation, but given how guilty Emi looked when her friend questioned whether the boyfriend knew that Emi and he had "broken up", things probably weren't completely over. I'm also not sure if they ever clarify when things soured between Emi and boyfriend. I don't particularly dislike Emi for any of this myself, but I was trying to come at it from the pov of someone who might.

I don't remember whether they said anything about Emi worrying that she couldn't support herself, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Personally I think it was more that she was scared of committing to a major change (especially since she was somewhat uncertain of how serious Kei's feelings were for her).
>>
>>2138434
>>2138454
Thanks for the info anon and you are right, knowing didn't make me feel better. I used to read the first few chapters from time to time because I connected with Emi. Feeling lost and uncertain about the future. How she meets Kei and she has this eye opening moment. Things that are universally easy to connect with, but written well. I remember when she asks herself why she went along with Kei and decides she wants to see where it goes. I can't comprehend how Emi is capable of being reflective of her own life to that degree while never giving a second thought about cheating until the story threw it as a curveball. If the author still didn't address this cheating issue then was the point of it all? It turned a story that I connected with on a personal level and made Emi into someone I can never understand. Now I'm more depressed.
>>
>>2138599
> If the author still didn't address this cheating issue then was the point of it all?

They did, just not in a black-and-white "rescued from the clutches of the EEVIL boyfriend" way, but more in the way that the relationship had already flatlined and Emi was a confused and lovestruck young person with very little self-confidence, who made a mistake and didn't have the guts to immediately fix it.

A perfect person would've recognized the situation for what it was before it was too late and told Kei to put things on hold until she sorted out her shit, but Emi's not perfect; personally I've found both her struggle with guilt and the real-life messiness of the whole state of affairs deeply relatable.
>>
>>2138639
Thanks for clarifying. I think I see what you mean. Sadly I guess this means this story just isn't for me right now.
>>
>>2138309
I had to google this, but wasn't it a DMCA takedown? It's not usually the author who's at the root of such requests. Unless there's more to the situation?

I am living in Yokohama for the next 3 months, does anyone know where I would go to shop for yuri books and merch and shit in the Tokyo-Yokohama area? Any stores in Akihabara maybe?

Also check out Melon Books, Sofmap ( http://mcha-jp.com/13410 ) and Gamers.

But the big one is that on October 23rd there's Comitia 118 which is a huge original-only doujinshi event; the event hall is organized by genre (aside from a few exceptions) and there are basically several long rows of stalls with authors selling their original yuri doujinshi.

I also second >>2144024 's suggestion to go to Comitia 118, it's a great event and imo pretty beginner-friendly. You can purchase a catalog beforehand in places like ZIN/tora/melon (they're usually stacked somewhere near the cash register, often right at the register) or at the event itself. Unlike comiket, a copy of the catalog is required for entry to the event. I like getting one beforehand because you can do a bit of research and planning.
>>
>>2144357
Thank you! I am going there today for a few hours so I'll see what I can find and maybe look for a Comitia catalog~
>>
I'm probably going to order some Love Live Sunshine doujin later. The Takano Saku and Oshima Tomo for sure. Probably going to see about getting a copy of L - Girls.

I'm still waiting on one shipment to arrive. The first order from my proxy arrived in about 7 days, but my second one has been at "arrival at office of inward exchange" for a while. I've heard that happens so not panicking yet
>>
Has anyone figured out how to download/rip a doujin from Toranoana's digital ebook viewer?

I've yet to find any guides or advice on this and considering a lot of doujins on tora are only available via digital, that's kind of a big deal.

The best I got out of digging through the elements of the page was a link to this through an amazon aws host, but it appears to be de-scrambled by some kind of javascript on the page before being displayed.

I'll make an /r/ thread if necessary but I wanted to just get that info out there.

I couldn't find any Comitia catalogs, maybe I didn't look in the right place or its not out yet. But I did get the latest yuri hime issue and one of my favorite yuri manga which I didn't expect to find, plus Kiniro Mosaic, so I'm happy with it!

Can confirm that Toranoana A has a decent yuri collection, and Gamers has a smaller section but it was a lot of good stuff, and they have like a point card for yuri books so if you buy enough you can get a prize, I'll have to go back and get one more some time. Manda's organization was too chaotic to find anything easily, it is organized by publisher and magazine or author so you have to know exactly what you are looking for basically. I didn't have much time to check out anything else more than briefly, but I will report back next time I go out.

It's asking you to sell them copies of that particular thing. They should get a listing for it eventually in the buying section and then you can put a watch on those entries so they'll email you whenever it gets in stock (you have to sign up for an account to do that).

It's a 386p shoujo-manga-style yuri anthology with a bunch of authors /u/ should be familiar with (though sadly there are a number of people just republishing old things: Ajiichi, Tamamushi, Yotsuhara Furiko, Hiruno Tsukiko among others). You'll even get a keychain, notebook and tote bag!

They'll be selling them at space Y16a/b.

My friend and I are trying to buy a GochiUsa themed earphones, but the sellers of Yahoo! Auctions are kinda a pain to deal with. In two instances we got kicked out of the bidding because we're not ranked sellers/buyers.

Just finished the first volume, my interpretation is that it's a deadpan parody of marimite-style ojousama school stories. Almost everybody, including the protagonist, is a comically evil mastermind constantly scheming the downfall of others.

I doubt there'll be actual yuri but it's amusing as hell.

As much as you could expect from this kind of omnibus thing in general. The teacher/student couple got pretty solid development.

Not yet. It's just a compilation of a bunch of her doujinshi, plus an added new chapter:

Chill sis, that's just the yuri corner of the new releases floor. Of course it's going to cast a wide net.

>>2173629
That series is pretty fun. v2 felt like it needed more editor attention though, there's too much content that wasn't funny or relevant (imo) and the focus kind of jumps around. Still worth reading and I'll definitely buy v3, but I know it could have been even better! It cracked me up that the author's note in the jacket flap is just "分かりやすくしました(表紙)。" after he bitched about people being suspicious of whether the series was really going to stay yuri. I also like that MC is building a pseudo-harem with full permission from her "main wife".

I also need the author to go back to drawing hair the way he did before he went digital, the hair is absolutely driving me up the wall.

>>2173571
Not really yuri (extreme co-dependence and gags only, so far) but I actually found the first volume of 同居人が不安定でして pretty funny (pic related is an overdone joke at its core, but the execution got me). Can read the first few chapters for free here to see if you like it:
https://comic.pixiv.net/works/2179

There's also the Takemiya Jin and Momono Moto doujinshi compilations from YH, if you like either of them and don't already own the doujinshi (or even if you do). And Ohsawa Yayoi's Spice Girls complete edition.
>>
>>2173661
> people being suspicious of whether the series was really going to stay yuri
> and the focus kind of jumps around

There were indeed some odd storytelling choices. I suppose it could be a victim of chapter-to-chapter publishing and popularity polls, like with chapter 12 where they go shopping for a sofa and introduce some new potentially interesting characters as a cliffhanger.

I bet /u/ as a collective would've lost their shit (much like with ななしのアステリズム) about the author daring spending an entire chapter on something that's not girls flirting—people just have no contextual or framing awareness. I don't browse enough Japanese forums to know if the yuri fans there are as rabid though.

I hope this sells enough to continue for a good while because it's one of those rare gems where the protagonist is both aware of her sexuality and takes it in stride; feels like it strikes an unusually good balance with that (just like the girls in the author's other longer work, come to think of it).

I'm tired of buying manga listed in monthly "yuri" releases just because have a friends-like type of "suki" once in a whole volume. Stuff like 同居人が不安定でして and the biggest part of Kirara's #1 volumes recently released are very plain slice of life series that I'm tired of since they keep publishing countless series that are all the same. A yuri panel used as ochi for a gag once in a while doesn't make them more readable if you are not interested in such plain slice of life plots, and definetely doesn't make them yuri, despite what >>2164213 say, yuri is love stories between girls, not "special relation" between girls where that "special relation" is friendship of completely normal straight/asexual girls.
And to be clear, I'm not talking about subtext, I follow many subtext series and I'm fine with it. I'm talking about series like Bocchi, where there is completely not romantic interest nor sexual tension nor innuendo nor implying, absolutely nothing interesting for people who read manga for yuri.
Sorry to be such a bitch, but after I've spent all that money buying manga that they sold you as "yuri" and then I find nothing when I read it so many times I've lost it, since shipment isn't even that cheap.
>>
>>2174089
No one's telling you how to spend you money, m8. Get Kindle verisons if shipping is too much.

And I guess read reviews? I see as much consternation over SoL and CGDCT being passed off as yuri in the Japanese fandom.
>>
>>2174093
Spending money for yuri is not a problem, the problem is spending money for something called yuri that is not yuri.

I follow at least three different sites of yuri review but they're not really reliable, the level of yuri is often very different from what they say, in positive or negative.
>>
>>2174089
>despite what >>2164213 say, yuri is love stories between girls, not "special relation" between girls where that "special relation" is friendship of completely normal straight/asexual girls.

Can you say something more about this book? That deffinition of yuri really pissed me off. It's like every manga with girls (without romance and boys) is yuri now? What the fuck?
>>
>>2173878
>like with chapter 12 where they go shopping for a sofa and introduce some new potentially interesting characters as a cliffhanger.
That struck me as odd, yeah. I also don't understand the purpose of the childhood friend, he seems like excess baggage to me at the moment.

It's very tiresome. ななしのアステリズム is relentlessly gay, I have no idea how people have the gall to complain about it. Similar fans exist in Japan, but I make more effort to avoid them and places where they congregate.

>just like the girls in the author's other longer work, come to think of it
Yeah, I like how he does lighthearted without making the characters less gay.

>>2173917
At least Hibana has a kindle version, so you can still acquire the chapters even if v2 never appears (I hope it does though). And they have full chapter listings (with numbers!) on their website so you know which volumes to buy.

>where are you?
d/a but I believe they took the image from this tweet:
https://twitter.com/tora_akiba_a/status/781711269694935040

>>2174089
It's kind of funny that you picked that image, since all the "try before you buy" copies in it would actually help solve your problem. Lots of series have the first chapter(s) available for free, why not check those out before buying? A chapter or two should be enough to figure out whether it's CGDCT or a love story.

>>2174122
>I follow at least three different sites of yuri review but they're not really reliable, the level of yuri is often very different from what they say, in positive or negative.

I haven't been in a long time, but in ~07-09 the denden town area around nipponbashi was decent. It looks like there are still a bunch of specialty shops like Tora no Ana, Melonbooks, K-Books, Lashinbang, etc in the area so probably still worth a look. Most of them seem to still be on the alley with a red line down it, but it looks like a few are scattered about nearby so I'd recommend wandering around a bit. Mandarake Nanba was also worth a look back then, no idea what it's like now and it's not that near to everything else so I'd probably hit up denden first.

We just had a discussion about that earlier in the thread.

It's 100% guaranteed fresh lesbian romance, there is absolutely no question about it. The protagonist was literally confronted with the idea of only being sexually attracted to women, and accepted it (and damn she is thirsty; she spends her days thinking about things like "wow I sure get turned on by sweaty girls").

That's already lightyears ahead of most "yuri" manga out there.

Finally bought Maruta's tank from Honto. The shipping isn't cheap, 1180 yen in SAL for 3 manga, it's as pricey as Amazon, but instead of coming in 2 days, it'll take at least 20 days. Oh well, as long as the customs don't poke their nose in the package, it should be okay.
>>
>>2178535
Honto is a lot cheaper than amazon in bulk. Amazon is better for fast shipping on single items. Honto is best when buying 5 or more at a time since the shipping cost scales with weight and boxes/packaging will have a high initial weight regardless of item count. My last order was 8 books and the shipping was only 2080 yen. The same 8 on amazon costs 3400 yen to ship.
>>
>>2178645
Okay. I'll try to order more than 5 books next time.

This is very reassuring. Authors should always be clear if their series is yuri or not, so we don't lose time and money on stuff that will never deliver or worst, that will complete betray.
He didn't write anything about yuri in the comment of the first volume so I was worried, but reading this, from his blog I presume?, I've immediately put the second volume in my wishlist (though I'd like he'll keep his ikemen at the minimum, the scene of the master naked in front of mc was already bad).

Speaking of lesbian vampires, I remember a new series where the vampire started living with the girl she bit, the first chapter on a japanese reader was posted here, anyone remember the title?

Sort of need help. Not too long ago someone somewhere mentioned being able to buy yuri manga from Barnes and Nobles and I have had giftcards for them on my desk for years so I finally decided to check that out.

How the fuck do you find anything? They have a section for yaoi under manga but not yuri it seems, and there is a section for gay and lesbian manga but roughly 98 to 99% of it is yaoi. To make it worse a good chunk of the characters are too feminine looking to tell their gender at first glance and several titles have 'Yuri' in them as a character name.

There's like 1100-1300 things of yaoi and I have only found maybe half a dozen yuri entries. Do I just have to wade through all the dicks to get to my handholding or what?
>>
>>2179189

>>
>>2180621
Not that anon, but I'm curious about this book. Especially after seeing some negative reviews bitching about Kirara, Sakura Trick, definition of yuri, skiped yuri anthologies like Tsubomi, 18+, etc. What do you think about it?
>>
>>2180637
The definitions of yuri in the introduction and the yuri lingo section are both on the liberal side, so I can see how they would upset some people.
I don't know why people would bitch about anthologies being excluded though, it's not like they excluded some and not others. I'm also not fussed about which books were given blurbs and which weren't, some will always get skipped and the selection doesn't come across as overly skewed toward my taste or away from it, so I feel pretty neutral.

I like what I've skimmed of the interviews. The five included are pretty long and each have a page on the making of each of the illustrations, where the artists give an overview of their process. I think it's interesting what each one chooses to focus on/mention (tools, composition, features they pay special attention to).

Incidentally, in Nakatani Nio's interview they touch on how her work is popular overseas as well, and ask her to say something to her overseas fans:
>日本語のマンガは、母国語で読むより大変だと思うので、ありがとうございますというか、すごく熱意を感じるので嬉しいです。
>I feel like it must be way more difficult for you to read manga in Japanese than in your mother tongue, so thank you, I'm delighted by such intense enthusiasm.

>you can buy manga from a store like manda for like 200-400 per volume.
Funny enough, some authors get mad when people buy used because it doesn't contribute directly to volume sales. Which has always seemed really uptight to me, since most people buying used wouldn't/couldn't have paid full price anyway, and aren't buying in the first week (meaning any urgency has passed and one can start looking at how someone purchasing used could indirectly contribute to volume sales). But I can also see how the looming thread of cancellation could drive a creator to think like that.

>>2180980
>Book is a much more pleasant reading experience than clicking through each page and having to scroll up and down.
They're actually not bad on the right size of tablet. Still doesn't have the smell and feel of a book, but not bad.

Yeah, but anon said "already full" bookshelf, and I can feel that pain. >Funny enough, some authors get mad when people buy used because it doesn't contribute directly to volume sales
I can see why but I think that's kind of short sighted. Especially with manga, often the only information you get to go on is just the cover and title, or whether you know the author already, because unlike western books they don't usually have summaries and reviews printed on the cover and usually you can only read inside by levering it open and looking in through the open top of the shrinkwrap, unless it is a popular enough series that the store puts out a sample copy. But for just choosing a random thing off the shelf from an author I've never heard of, having to pay 800円 every time is a bit too much to ask when you have no idea if you'll even like the content, whereas when I go to manda or something I am comfortable just going in and buying like 10 volumes of whatever catches my eye and only being out like 3k. If I like the ones I read, I am much more likely to buy the author's other works or the later volumes from a regular store when they come out. I just bought After Hours used and loved it, so I looked up the author and it turns out they need to sell a bunch of volumes right now for the publisher to print volume 2, and so I went back and bought a second copy new, and am looking for the other manga by the same mangaka now. If I had to take a chance on buying it for over twice the price when I have never heard of it or the author I probably would have never read it in the first place.

I've mentioned it in General thread but since it's untranslated reaction was quite underwhelming.
You can judge for yourself: http://seiga.nicovideo.jp/comic/21865

>Is this actually good yuri
I'd say it's a good yuri just because it's explicit but since it's an α+yuri kind of manga you'd better enjoy the confusing plot and like revenge stories as well.
>>
>>2181045
It was linked back then.
http://seiga.nicovideo.jp/comic/21865

Not my thing, the plot is uselessly complicated, stealing pages from yuri, the second chapter is already with 0 yuri and if there is no yuri I have no reason to read it, same problem with most of Murcielago's chapters and all the YH's "plot + yuri" series.
>>
>>2181186
> if there is no yuri I have no reason to read it

>YH's "plot + yuri" series.

>>
>>2181186
>>2181270
So what is enough yuri? Does there have to be some kind of physical interaction or gay utterance every chapter or? Not mad, just curious since my standards for yuri seem to be very different.
>>
>>2181350
Most of the series are monthly, that means we have to wait a whole month for, like, 20 pages and that's a long time, after such wait I'd be disappointed if nothing yuri happens in it and I have to wait another whole month.
I'm satisfied if there is yuri in every single chapter. That doesn't mean two girls have to fuck every chapter. Little, cute, gay things are ok, the important is the two girls interact in some way with each other and develop their relationship. And it must be part of the story, not "let's put a page in which they fuck every chapter even if it has nothing to do with the story just because" Last Waltz-like.
Said that, delivering yuri and build a "plot" in every chapter with only 20~30 pages is not simple, that's why normal romantic stories where the romance is the focus of the story are the best for me, like Yagate kimi ni naru.
It's not that I'm against different settings, but the yuri must be constant and good.
>>
>>2181477
>that's a long time
Hm, monthly feels fast to me.

I see. Are there non-romance-centric series that have managed to achieve that in your opinion?

Hey Last Waltz was hilarious for the love hotel names alone (Flying Fuck, SKB69). Shame about the plot being a mess though.
>>
>>2181502
I'm yuri addicted, even waiting two weeks for Yuzumori-san and Otome no teikoku is a long wait for me.

Looking at my collection I see all the long running series are scholastic / slice of life, there are some weird settings in one-shot tanks and two-volumes mini series like Last Waltz and Shoujo shikkaku.
I guess the more atypical I have is Akuma no riddle, Hidan no Aria AA and Murcielago, though I gave up with volume six since the author is putting more effort in making Kuroko playing detective and fighting evil organizations rather than give us more Chiyo, but since it's been miraculously announced in my country just last week I think I'll continue it since it won't cost much, hoping they'll keep the same format and size of the japanese volumes.
>>
>>2181338

I'm going to jump in and point out that while this is a decent rule of thumb (and true in this case) there are exceptions. Artists can self-print doujinshi volumes that look like professionally published tanks, like this Yawaragi Bin collection, it's just not very common (in my experience).

I thought it was pretty great. Believable vignettes about OLs being cute. You can read most of the content on the author's pixiv:
http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=14000716
Pic related is the order they appear in the tank.

Dunno why it sold out so quick though, my guess is underestimated demand.
>>
>>2185083
It's really good. I'm hoping that the author getting a tank on the YH label means they'll be starting a serialization in YH when it goes monthly.

It seems good, hope it'll be back in stock soon.

Is there any way to check the condition of the books at Suruga (online)?

I bought 5 books from them before and while 4 were in perfect condition one was a bit worn.

So for the longest I never bothered trying to buy anything from Japanese DLsite, because conventional wisdom said they rejected foreign cards, or at least the adult side did. Just bought something with a Visa debit without a problem. Maybe it's different with credit cards?

>>2186086
You might be able to ask them about the item? Japanese merchants often have good, personal responses to customer feedback. Other than that, I don't think so unless it happens to say in the remarks.

I've never had a problem with either Visa or Mastercard (European) credit cards. Haven't tried debit.

Whatever I read about it, it says it's not yuri, it's just another one of those series put in a yuri corner just because it has two girls as mcs. I decided not to buy it, I've already enough useless manga that yuri-sagi'd me.

Nips call something like this "manga with yuri elements."
>>
>>2188404
It's about as yuri as 2DK, which is being serialized in Yurihime, for whatever that is worth. If you don't consider 2DK yuri, chances are you wouldn't consider this yuri either.
>>
>>2188421
In fact I didn't see any yuri in the first volume of 2DK, only het.

Speaking of girls living together, Ajisai planet is definitely a better choice, not remotely close to Futaribeya though, just your usual Kirara's fluffy.

Has anyone bought Nadeshiko Hiyori from Toranoana or Melonbooks? Both stores have a different bonus.

I can't call it bait, I can't call it sagi, how am I supposed to call these horrible manga? Manga that nobody would ever care about, but just by adding a single alluding scene, on purpose or without even realizing what it means for us, some idiot will put it in a monthly yuri manga release list and we end up buying it.
It's bait. The literal definition of bait, the one you find on the dictionary, it has nothing to do with "bait and switch", that's a different thing. Using a lure (yuri) to attract your prey (yurifags). Because the authors don't have the least intention of forming a couple, canon or subtext, they just put rare scenes without a meaning in it, it's just bait.
>>
>>2189256
Stop being autistic, its fucking chinese cartoon books. If you can't enjoy a story because there are no lesbians in it, you need to broaden your tastes, it's not the author's responsibility to make their work pander to you in particular or their responsibility to prevent you from buying things you won't enjoy without doing research first. Fuck off back to tumblr and stop being the reason this board is cancer.
>>
>>2189268
I don't give a fuck if you read something else other than yuri, it's your taste that is cancer to this board. This is /u/, not your blog where you can promote the non yuri series you enjoy.

I do all the research I can for every single volume 1 I buy, most of the time there are no official preview you can read or, for some Kirara's series, there are only 4 pages that don't say absolutely nothing about the story and the part I am interested in the most (yuri).
Most of the time you can only count on japanese readers' review that are full of their personal tastes that sometimes are as shit as yours and you can see a series in which girls are dating rated with a low level of yuri and subtext series rated with a high level of yuri in the same blog, or the same series with a very different rate in two different blogs.
>>
>>2189275
I don't give a fuck man, I've never read it. You're just being autismal and retarded about something that doesn't matter. How dare people like something other than yuri, how dare mangaka make stories with subtext or two girls living together or whatever if they don't kiss and say I love you every chapter. Or even god forbid someone has a different idea of what makes yuri than you do.

Just calling the manga shit or horrible or saying no one will ever care about it because it doesn't pander to you is autistic. It's not for you, it's for it's own audience that enjoys it and it's made by mangaka who like what they do, they aren't cynically sitting around a table making happy merchant faces and planning how to trick you. Stop being so triggered by lesbian cartoons.
>>
>>2189279
How retarded are you? Can you read without assuming something?

I'm not talking about a series in particular.
It's something that matter because it is yuri or it isn't, it's everything that matter.
People can do something other than yuri, just they mustn't bait us adding "yuri fanservice" of how the hell you want to call it.
Subtext is fine, I explicitly wrote it. Two girls living together doesn't make it subtext by itself.
Kisses and "love you" are not required every chapter, you dense motherfucker.

I won't explain further, I've been already clear enough, learn to try to understand what people are trying to say instead of jumping up and calling everyone autistic because someone dare not to like the non yuri series you enjoy. I've already said it, this is /u/, not your blog, you're free to like non yuri series but spamming in every post how you enjoy reading non yuri stuff is not relevant to the board.
>>
>>2189287
How egotistical you must be to assume everyone is trying to bait you at all times.

Anon. You have very specific taste in yuri, this is OK. You are trying to assert that only yuri you approve of is real yuri, this is not OK. You are throwing tantrums and shitting on things other people like, this is also not OK. You are free to have preferences, but it is important to realize that they are just that. I suggest you search more specifically for GL or ビアン or something, yuri seems to cover too much territory for you.

I have no idea why you're accusing the other anon of blogging/spamming, the only one I see doing that is you (and not just in this thread).
>>
>>2189303
Isn't GL and yuri the same thing?
>>
>>2189318
To be honest it depends on who you ask, but there is a slightly higher probability of finding something explicitly gay by looking for GL than by looking for yuri.
>>
>>2189332
I thought gachi or rezu is explicity gay (with sex and such) and GL is just a synonymous for yuri. Like BL for yaoi.
>>
>>2189346
Gachi doesn't necessarily indicate sex (or homo, technically) it just means that a person or work is the real thing, no jokes (like the opposite of "no homo" in the context of homo). I don't think it's currently used widely or consistently enough to help. Like the traditional lesbian gag character can still be a gachilez character, even if she never gets any. Lez is more likely to be gachi and explicit than yuri yes, but lots of people seem to shy away from using it (perhaps because it can be considered a slur).

You're going to find people who think the terms are synonymous, people that say GL is less gay than yuri, or only the kyakkyaufufu style of yuri, people who say it's more explicitly romantic than yuri, etc etc etc. Strictly in my experience, GL has a narrower scope than yuri.

Well it's probably a good thing you didn't, her contribution is only four pages long.

It's definitely going for the shoujo manga magazine look/feel. Reminds me a little bit of some vols of Hirari or older YH -- plenty of light angst and ambiguity. While I like that kind of thing well enough, so many of the pieces being 10p or less is a tiny bit disappointing. They're executed decently for that length, but I just find something that short is hard to really get one's teeth into. Definitely happy with the purchase, but left wanting more by a number of the stories.

There are a handful of fake ads, some of which really got me (pic related).

Interviews seem interesting, though I only skimmed them (I swear I'll go back and read them sometime). Survey data is interesting too, though I only looked at the pie charts and there's clearly a strong sample bias at work.

Finally received Nadeshiko Hiyori from Honto. First time buying a H-manga so I'm really surprised how big the manga is. The impression is perfect, and the paper even more thick than an european comic book. The tanks were also protected with 2 layers of plastics and some other protections inside so the books wouldn't move in the packaging.
I'll definitely buy from them again.

Don't know if L Girls is on Honto, but you must type the name of the hentai you're looking for. They don't list them.

Nice, we need more super casual friends yuri like this one or Yurivery Health. There aren't many, usually they are either super fluffy and romantic, which I like but not always, or the casual ones are just filled with abuse or bullying or ntr. I need more groups of friends just yuri-ing around like this.
>>
>>2193124
Yeah.
And let's hope Maruta will do yuri again. He's pretty good at this, and his art is wonderful.
>>
>>2193104
I saw I have to select "adult" to find them. I guess I'll give it a try.
But it won't charge me for the shipment before of buying it so I don't know exactly how much I'll end up spending. And more important, does honto provide for custom taxes itself like amazon? Since I don't receive the package myself it's a problem for me if there is to pay when you receive it, that's why I've always used amazon.
>>
>>2193005
It's on honto. Search for Lガールズ and hit the link that says アダルト商品を含めて再検索する on the left sidebar.
e.g. http://honto.jp/netstore/pd-book_28108803.html
>>
>>2193131
I'm surprised it's so rare honestly, it seems to me like one of the most natural genres to become a cliche, way more than like age gap or bullying.
>>
>>2193134
Nothing to pay, unless your country's customs decide to tax your package.
It took 2 weeks for me in SAL, with no customs. With EMS it would have been taxed.
>>
>>2193159
My country always applies custom taxes, to both SAL and EMS. Because of my country's post, SAL is even worse because it's not rare the not-tracked SAL packages disappear.
The only solution is a service like amazon that asks you the money for the taxes and then refund you the difference between what you paid and what the custom actually asked.
I'm never at home during the day so I have to use a service that receive the packages for me and then I pick it up when I can, and obviouly they don't accept packages with something to pay.
>>
>>2193104
Are there any extra pages? It feels like a little is missing, as the older sister is always left out.

No extra pages. One afterword for Hime-sama no kiss de, and the thanks pages got an illustration of his previous manga about the trap and the yuri fangirl, for some reason.

I really liked v1, but half-dropped the series after v3. I intend to pick it up again someday, so I'm kind of salty that there's at least one anon who keeps posting unobscured spoilers in various threads outside the dedicated one (so watch out for those until you catch up, and don't be that guy when you do).

Tora no Ana A in Akiba has this weird little laminated AdaShima "poster" (can hardly call it that, pic related) below one of the poster frames in the north stairwell (can't remember which floor). Eclair and Yagate Kimi ni Naru are finally available on Honto. Also 茜色のキスは屋上で by Momono Moto is already out of stock on Amazon.co.jp and selling for a huge markup from 3rd parties for some reason. Still available on Honto for those who don't want to risk it going out of print.

I thought I saw someone post about ともだちごっこ on here before. I remember thinking it might be worth a blind buy but I can't find the post now. Is someone reading this that can confirm it is quality?

Also does anyone know if セーラー服、ときどきエプロン (Sailor Fuku, Tokidoki Apron) maintains the yuri until the end?
