Looking for assistance in double-checking the translations we did for this doujinshi. This will be a multi-part post and I will try my best to explain the context of the story. And please excuse my multi-part posts.

In Book 1, Ran, the girl with the straight hair, saw two girls kissing and she didn't accept that girls can love girls. After seeing the act, Ran can't stop thinking her friends are into the gay as well and she got mixed feelings towards a girl named Yurika. She likes her, but not in a gay way. All that change when her classmate Kaede kissed Yurika in front of her and declared Yurika is hers. Ran got a surge of emotion that she's not sure what was she felt after seeing Kaede kiss Yurika, a girl she likes. Book 1 ended.

Book 2, Ran contacted Sora from a different school for advice on the matter so they both agreed to meet at Sora's school. Sora's sex friend (who was in bed with her before the call), Maria, overheard and got jealous.

Ran arrived only to meet Maria (drill hair) and Maria convinced Ran to tell her the story. Ran tells Maria what happened in detail and Ran ended saying she needs to talk to Sora since she believes Sora is an expert on this topic. Out of jealousy and hate (Sora and Ran are shipped by the fanbase) Maria mocked her, etc.

This line doesn't necessarily imply more than friend, just watching very intently. Also it's just looking at or watching; not past tense.

what I do when I typset (usually for GuP stuff) is basically >>2179680. Just that I don't ignore them completly just because I understand them, because that's the very point of scanlating: it's for those who DON'T understand the raws. Wouldn't be any point scanlating otherwise.

My *personal* policy is, simple text in white areas I just typeset over it, while SFX large, decorative, and/or placed over stuff, I either typeset near it or write a "SFX: Whatever" side note.

And if there's a lot of repeated identical SFX over the whole work (in the GuP case, usually there's a lot of asorted tank noises using always the same SFX), well, I follow here what a previous typeseter of that work did and just add a small "SFX all over chapter: tank noises (get used to them)" side note in first page, and tpeset only what's different or relevant.

But that's just what I do. You can do whatever you feel confortable with.

It mainly boils down to whether you think you can pull it off or if you think it's worth the effort. Redrawing is definitely the most awkward part of it, particular when stuff likes tones/gradients/color/etc are involved. If you think that your general audience should be familiar enough with most typical sound effects (mostly in porn), then you're free to skip them, though you do need to be careful when non-bubbled dialogue gets thrown into the mix.
