I don't know about moemon but Touhoumon has had female-only trainers (Renko and Maribel) since like 1.8, which came out in 2011. That includes the versions done by other people like Touhouon Emerald, Another World and World Link. Though the prompt still asks if you're a boy or a girl, the character in question is still a girl (Renko) if you pick the former.

I know a lot of people might see is as cheap or second hard or something, but I'm fine with games that don't treat the female protagonist any different from the male because it often leads to more yuri potential like this.

So far most of it has just been subtext or content added by Western Translators to be more inclusive; which in turn wouldn't be considered canon because it's not a direct translation from the Japanese game

I've heard that Cynthia flirted with Dawn but I replayed those games recently and there's nothing to indicate that. I've also been told that there's subtext that Cynthia had flirted or dated girls in her vacation house or something?

I do, however, see a lot of potentials like Valerie, Olypmia, and Diantha but I don't think any of the older games and their Gym Leaders and Champions have anything.

It's pokemon, expect for Red there really isn't a canon protag since it's always about the player's journey. If every game had a canon protag then I think BW2 would have made it much clearer if Hilbert or Hilda was the one that went through the events of BW.

I know I'm in the minority as a Pokemon fan, but I have always played for the stories.

Are they groundbreaking? No. Are they spectacular? Nope. But they're well rounded, usually have a good amount of high and low points, fun characters, interesting stakes, and from gen 5 (my favorite gen) on, GF has really been trying to make the series, on a story level, closer to that of an average RPG. They've had subplots and important side/secondary characters etc.

The anime is its own canon. Officially, Red is the only official canon protagonist. Arguably Dawn could be a canon protagonist considering there is a TCG card that clearly has her as Johanne's child, but officially Red is the only one shown in-series. All other assumptions come from inspecting official art and spouting headcanons. In my opinion it's Red, May, Lyra/Ethan, Dawn, Hilda, Nate, and Serena but others could see it differently.

There really isn't any implication of her being in love with you. She does have an extremely strong admiration of the pc and since she's basically the true main character of the game, she does have a lot of scenes with you, it doesn't really hint beyond friendship. That being said, it's definitely enough for her to get a ton of artwork with the female pc imo. Those of you with your googles on will definately be happy with the interactions, I'm sure.

Minor spoilers.

While prior to this point in the story, you were dotted on by a bunch of people throughout the game, you explore the entirety of the 4th island pretty much solely with Lillie and she's pretty happy about the fact.

While exploring an island together, both of you are caught in a sudden rainstorm and weather it out in a small cave. There she goes on about her relationship with her mother as well as her admiration of you.

During the credits, the two of you sneak off from a party to reminisce about your journey at the place where you first met

This one kinda has major spoilers, so read at your discretion.

When Lillie decides to leave for kanto the pc runs up to the sailing ship like one of those romantic cliches. I'm probably exaggerating this since it happened at sunset for me, but I though it was cute. Then at the very end of the staff roll, there's a picture of her kneeling with the box legend against the night sky and saying (again) how happy she is to have met you.
