Well, that's part of what I enjoyed about it. It's het, yes, but making a character fully willing to pursue a twincest relationship (very earnestly at that, there's no comedy there, just angst and drama) is extremely rare even in het harem anime. That's why non blood related sisters are a thing and why they're everywhere. Hard to find non blood related twins though.
I can understand not wanting het though. For what it's worth I think wixoss spends more time on yuri than het. But it's not a yuri show first and foremost. It's worth watching for all the things that aren't yuri and het twincest. Whether it's worth watching for yuri alone is debatable. Personally my answer would be 'yes', because of a certain deliciously toxic and abusive relationship from S2, but that's totally not something everybody enjoys.

The real problem here is that even though it's clear to everybody with a pair of eyes that Sofina-Almaria is perfectly mutual I think it won't really get anywhere. Call me a pessimist if you want. It'll be just kinda head canon with them getting maybe a bunch of hugs somewhere later but that's about it. The real problem is the card game lived in relative obscurity for like two years and we don't have any translations for the cards. It's surprising how many Japanese card games have translations for basically all the cards (Yu-Gi-Oh/Cardfight/Duel Masters/wixoss/Luck and Logic/Z-X/Force of Will/Battle Spirits/Buddyfight/others still - yes there are that many), and are updated on like daily basis (the communities overlap quite a bit). That leads to a bunch of them having Lackey/OCTGN plugins but again, no translations this time around so no dice.
That being said the interest in Ange Vierge is at its peak now with the anime around so even a pretty dead Ange Vierge wiki saw a tiny bit of activity lately. It's harder to get things going if the game isn't new though since there are simply more older cards to translate but there's a glimmer of hope I guess.

Also it might have some Japanese/Chinese plugins for something like OCTGN.

Well you have to admire the consistency of the character.

The pairings will probably be the main characters paired up with their EXR counterparts, with the exception of Stella, who actually has two EXR counterparts and Saya, who will either be paired up with Hinata or Amane instead of Aoi.

I was already having a bit of trouble taking the corruption seriously when it still showed all the corrupted girls naked in the hotspring for no reason and then the random vignette with the corrupted sisters shows up.

Saya's frustration with Amane and Hinata's attack on Saya (which is really just an extension of the above) felt more dramatic than anything else in the show. Given how we have 12 episodes and Almaria seems to need 2 episodes to finish off the business in the Dark world, I'm guessing we get 2 episodes per character/world and one final episode to wrap things up. I'm not sure how dramatic things will get by then.

I'm also not sure if Aoi vs Saya will take the full 2 episodes or if Aoi vs Saya will even happen at all. Hinata vs Saya might have been the designated Blue vs Blue match and Aoi might just be the final boss.

Speaking of which, there doesn't seem to be a balanced representation among the "executives". We've got Euphiria from White, Clara from Blue, Dr. Michael from either Blue or White, Ruby from Red and Aurora from Red (or possibly green). There isn't a Black World representative among the executives and there probably isn't a Green World representative either since I think Aurora is from Red.

So I know it's been discussed that the infected elites are all acting out on their hearts desire and probably inherited the OUroboros desire to speed up the fusion of the worlds and how that relates to Sofina's actions.

However, what does that say about Hinata's actions? Is Hinata a stressed out elite who tries to keep up appearances but secretly wants to bully Saya to see her cry or is she just someone who's afraid of people disliking her and never points out their flaws? It's a shame her corruption was incomplete, we might have seen some kinky S&M play.

I'm guessing each elite will bully and possibly flirt with their UC counterparts, with Nya being called out for not putting any effort, Stella being called out for her Gotta go fastness, Elel for having two wings while Ramiel only has one and Aoi's probably just going to beat the crap out of Saya because Hinata's already done the verbal bullying.

So where exactly does the team go wrong? They seem to have a great base to work with, Amane's said to be working pretty hard for a driver. I was feeling pessimistic last week and I thought they'd beat around the bush - despite the fact that they made it pretty clear that Sofina's and Almaria's feelings are perfectly mutual - and leave us hanging. Then the episode kept getting more blatantly yuri with each minute and the only thing that was missing was Alma spitting it out, and solely because she's a prude. She said it indirectly a number of times anyway - for example when she was talking about sucking blood she said she couldn't do it with Amane because she's like a sister for her, and couldn't do it with a stranger for obvious reasons, but when Sofina was brought up she just said 'she isn't worthy', which actually kinda implied she would've done it if she felt Sofina and her were on equal standing.

It's worth noting that since Sofina and Alma ate up two whole eps, and we know the series is 12 eps long, some couples will inevitably get shafted and contained to a single ep.

Frankly it's the opposite, if nothing happens it's not a harem, it's the rough equivalent of yuri teasing only to end up with nothing. Harem is one central chracter being seriously romantically involved with multiple characters.

Nonsense. Harem features mutliple 'couples' just like a normal series would, except there's one character that's in all of them. They would still be different relationship with their own dynamics and whatnot, and there's no reason for them to be less developed. In a way they would probably even be more complex, as there's an extra layer of 'well, she sleep with other girls too, how do I even feel about that and how do I deal with it'.

It's like everybody hates a harem strawman. How many yuri harems can you even name, really.

Well I happen to disagree with that so I don't think we'll share any common ground here.

Absolutely ridiculous notion. That'd mean the love of someone who just sits around on their ass all day long and does nothing and thinking about their lover is the greatest thing ever. But that's not how life works. Some people can only see their lovers on weekends (and don't necessarily think about them a lot on other days because they're that loaded), if even that, because they have countless other obligations.
I'm sure it just means their love is shallow and superficial.

Not all harems feature multiple couples. I don't think I've ever seen a yuri harem, but in het harems the fact that there is only one MC that everyone wants is common.
The "side couples" are just there for fanservice usually, and their main and real love interest in the MC.
But I don't doubt there can be/there is this type of harem you are talking about as well. I've just seen the first one more frequently.

And my other big issue with harems is polyamory. When I ship two people, I want them to be exclusive with each other. No thirds and sleeping around. It just ruins it compltely for me. This is just a personal taste, so we can't argue.
It comes down to the viewer and their personal taste at the end of tha day.

Acting and feeling is two different things.
Just because someone can't act in love, doesn't mean they don't feel it.
The same goes for harems. Just because some person acts (aka fucks) multiple people, it doesn't mean they are seriously in love with them.
But this does not make it really "in love". It's the normal love everyone develops at some point when they spend time with a person. Heck, you love multiple friends, animals, relatives etc etc. Funny how you say this love is shallow, when it seems to me that the harems' love is the shallow one.
Romantic love does not work the same a friendly love, or love in general.
But I guess there are people who don't see it like that.

This is one of the must useless things I've seen here in a while. Why are people arguing about how harems are supposed to work? Anime and manga harems have a very simple structure.
