The only one i'm not sure I'm going to like is Mari as she was kind of annoying and one note in the audio dramas. I didn't hate her Though. I kinda hope she is the one "left out" when the cast gets formed into pairings.

Ruby and Yohane won me over in the span of about five seconds when I watched the first episode. Maybe the same thing will happen with Mari once they show more than three seconds of her.

This makes no sense. Even before any hints at shipping potential were given, there already were people going after what we now know are "dark horse" ships, and it predates Sunshine back to the original series.

If you're going to be like those who whine and cry about there "not being anything for their rare ships" then you're missing the point. And otherwise, canon is sure to provide for the obvious NicoMaki/NozoEli level major ships anyway, so whether they have fan popularity or not has little to do with anything in the long run.

There was a special livestream last night to commemorate Shikaco's second single, SUMMER CHANCE!!

I'm surprised of how playful and flirty the new seiyuu are, obviously I'm enchanted by it and it makes me compare them with the μ's seiyuu and all I can see is how much more physical Aqours' seyuu are. And it makes me wonder if it's because Aqours' seiyuu are youger or because it's a suggestion by the production staff in order to appeal to the yuri audience.

The First Live, which usually is acknowledged as what brought μ's together cohesively, didn't happen until February 2012. So in less than 20 months, Aqours are already as close as they are, while it took μ's that long to be one group instead of nine separate people.

The supposed "logic" that "muse" is acceptable because of the "meaning" that these people rely on would actually be somewhat believable if they could spell "Aqours" right. Anyway at the end of Ep 2
-My respect for Dia has gone up. She might be my third favourite character now after You and Chika if only because they put my words in her mouth. Even if the production is mocking me, there is still a lot of grain of truth in saying writing U's instead of writing µ's is stupid.
-However, making Dia a fan of µ's and by extension School Idols comes at the cost of retconning the character established in 2015. Dia 2015 thought School Idols were frivolous an shameless at first. Consequently this kills any potential character arc where a upper class ojou who thinks School Idols are too lowbrow for her slowly start to appreciate and enjoy them. Think the Simpsons episode where Bart inadvertently ends up in Ballet and despite his masculinist pre-conceptions eventually came to like it.
-My final concern is that Dia as suggested above turns out to be the Nico of the group right down to her backstory >>2088970. Sunshine does not need to copy everything from the LL anime word for word, it'll just make the anime a repetition. Consequently, it's likely to bore audiences because nobody wants to watch the same thing twice. Either that or they will watch it, see everything's the same and compare it unfavourably with the original. In Sunshine's favor, there's no suggestion yet that they are actually including the whole save the school with pop story from S1.
-Final word: Disappointed we did not see AriYuki or anyone familiar in Riko's flashback. It seems like her arc will involve Chika and School Idols giving her the courage to overcome her stage fright.
-Beware of the Uchiura Chika(n). Luring little girls with lollies just to capture them. Sneaking a peak under another girl's skirt. Lewd finger touching.

As it were, depending on how we look at things, Kanan missing school could be seen as an inversion of Suwawa balancing school and work. It would then come full circle if, upon her eventual return, Kanan is shown to have no trouble catching up, defying the dumb jock stereotype.

I was actually thinking about this today. I think Chika is just a more consistent character (so far). Honoka went from klutz to "I don't care what happens to this school" to "OMG I gotta save the school" to perfect leader to "Crawling In My Skinnnnnnnnnnnnn" throughout the first season.

Based on motives, Chika's dream of becoming a school idol in order to better herself is more believable and relatable.

And yes, Chika's "chikan" moments are great.
