Oh hey, wow. I honestly did not expect to see my art actually hit this place! I'm kinda flattered. And yeah, my art's kinda wonky at times (especially for silly sketch comics like that KiraTowa one where I'm just rushing the content out), I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. But I'm glad some of you enjoyed it!

I do plan to make a continuation of the story. It's a sweet one, with some funny moments, though because I decided to make it a semi-interactive comic on Tumblr, I guess it's up to the readers to decide the direction. Don't worry, though; no angst planned here.

And yes, Azuma is one of my influences. I started posting stuff online 10 years ago, and at the time, I was very much into Azumanga Daioh (Tomo/Yomi was my thing back then). I guess it's still kind of in my style!

Maho is great for /u/ and SoL content but the fights in general are pretty bad compared to Princess and other seasons. The cuteness and gayness are over the top, though. You know how in other seasons, the girls keep going on and on about protecting their dreams, friendship, or the world? In Maho, our main cures don't really care about anything as long as they get to be together with their fairy daughter and pet bear. The show never once uses the word "friends" but "family" to describe the relationship between the cures.

I feel like the whole Cure Felice thing was rushed. I say this as a fan of Precure, Sentai, and Kamen Rider. Compared to the midway extra heroes airing, it feels like Felice just came out of nowhere and revealed herself as Ha-chan way too quickly. It all happens within a single episode.

Mondo, Zyuoh TheWorld, is at first evil. He's been forced to bond with three Zyumen and we see that he's constantly being tortured by the Deathgaliens. His isn't as good as Alain's, but Mondo's story takes a couple episodes.

Alain, on the other hand was handled very well despite Ghost being a huge mess. Alain appears at the very beginning as a sort of mysterious villain. He's solidified as a member of the villains later on. Then he becomes Necrom, and beats the shit out of Ghost and Specter for a few episodes. Then Adel betrays Adonis and Alain, which begins Alain's path of redemption. The whole Alain redemption arc is handled spectacularly, ending with Alain accepting that people will die.

Felice just seems pretty quickly shoehorned in, without much thought. Ha-chan seeming sacrifices herself, mysterious Cure saves the day, and she's revealed to be Ha-chan. Compared to Towa, who got a a nice little story arc of being turned evil, it seems empty. I like her, but there wasn't much conflict for her to get to that point.

Felice is pretty much just Ha-chan growing up, it's the next step of her evolution. Rather than shoehorning, it's simply the next logical step, she went into hibernation after they got all the little Linkel stones then turned big after Emerald appeared. Instead of some tragic evil turning good characters, Ha-chan is simply the little useless daughter who wanted to be useful for her parents and got her wish granted. There was no need for any conflict in her background. She's not coming out of nowhere like cure Muse or cure Ace or got a personality turnaround like Setsuna or Towa.
There's still a big mystery about what exactly she is, anyway, so her whole character is not done yet.

I guess I just expect more immediately. After two years of good tertiary Riders, Chase and Alain, I feel like most newcomers into a team need to have some sort of reason for existence. Felice, while not shoehorned in, just feels like she came too quickly. I think if there were a one or two episode gap between Ha-chan's disappearance and Felice's introduction, it might've worked a bit better for me.

It's probably best, if you have to compare, to compare her to Shiny Luminous. She came out of nowhere and is a total mystery, even to herself. There are a couple of major differences, though...
a) Felice is actually USEFUL at the beginning and
b) Felice doesn't have the incredible Tanaka Rie as her voice actress.

If you enjoy the relationship stuff from Maho Girls and can tolerate some of the more janky animation, there's a fair bit to enjoy here. Seeing Love, Tsubomi, Hibiki and Miyuki try to form their own all-pink unit is quite amusing.
It's not one of the strongest All Stars movies, though, and seems to copy DX2's plot formula for the most part.

Indeed. Its been awhile, but I remember reading someone's translation of the DokiDoki fanbook, and interviews with the staff showed that they had a lot of cut het ideas.

Mana was supposed to have a crush on Alice's older brother(I'm not sure if Alice having a brother is even a thing in the final product), but it was cut because someone suggested that Mana as an extremely unselfish person should not have a love interest since that would monopilize her affection to just one person, which she would never do. They also suggested having a romance subplot between her and Joe, but the female members of the staff were against this idea.

Rikka was supposed to have a romance subplot with Ira, but that was cut too for reasons I can't remember. The only remaining part of that subplot left was the beginning of it where Rikka nurses an amnesiac Ira back to health, but it was said that particular episode was to left in to show how serious Rikka takes her dreams of being a doctor and in that final version Rikka doesn't have any special feelings for Ira.

Alice was also supposed to have some rich boy love interest, but I believe that was cut too.

So yeah, we dodged quite a few bullets to get the great product that we did.

Maybe it's the old goggles talking, but I too took that scene as Nagisa giving up on him. She talks a lot about the pleasant experience of being in love for the first time and not a word about becoming his girlfriend or anything related to the future. It's like yelling it to the world fulfils her series-long attempt to tell him in person and she no longer needs to think about him. Even when the world is ending towards the finale, she never thinks about him again.

Mirai sure has great potential as a yandere. To be honest, I don't believe neither Yes5 nor HappinessCharge had Y/u/ri potential at all.

Happiness Charge Precure was actually good precure. It just wasn't gay. If the only reason you watch precure is for the gay... you're gonna be disapointed most of the time. It's a Magical Girl show targetted mainly for 9 year old Japanese girls. /u/ are NOT the target demographic. Nor will /u/ ever be.

Having said that, I love the fact that DokiDoki and MahouPre are gay as rainbows. It's just an extra added bonus on already good shows.

It was mostly because of said producer's fault, Hiroaki Shibata, who also handled badly part of DokiDoki as well.
He screwed badly with Ninninger on the Super Sentai side, and almost kills Digimon as well.

Gladly, he leaved on the middle of Go!Pri's production, saving it from stupid decisions.

Dissonance has been on break for 1 1/2 years but it should update in the next week according to twitter. The fic is skipping HappinessCharge and GoPrincess from what I understand, most likely due to the negative feedback those shows got on /u/.
She went through 30 eps of Doki in 2 days so far so this time it's real mates.

Kanade was way to possessive of Hibiki and got jealous over every stupid thing. Basically Hibiki broke it off with Itsuki, who she was dating before Kanade confessed, then she broke it off with Itsuki because she did love Kanade but Kanade could not even stand the sight of Hibki talking to Itsuki and it got so bad that Hibiki told her to shove her jealousy up her ass and went back to Itsuki.
I don't remember precisely what went down after but Rin ended up being Kanade's rebound and then it became more than a rebound.
The story is super fucking long and people who whine about OOC basically skim the important character development / backstory bits. Especially important with Urara and Ako for example.
