Keep reading you won't regret it. I was also unsure like yourself before I picked it up just recently. And yes while "Kissing Mars" is bleak as all hell and not worth the read this is completely on the other side of the spectrum. It's carefree, funny and cute. There are multiple legitimate couples and even the grumpy glasses girl gets paired up later.

Though I haven't read the raws so I'll agree that the main two girls are seemingly just friends teasing each other.

In the next chapter, the manga research club is shown to have an insider greeting "Otsukaresama-mmoth! Paoon!" which is the phrase "Otsukaresama" (=much appreciated) with an added "mammoth". The raised hand is supposed to be a trunk an the "paoon" a mammoth-sound. I haven't been able yet to come up with a good equivalent in English, so I might just explain it in a translators note. I think I will also change Nao's "a e i o u" test writing into "a b c d e", which is basically the western equivalent.

I've made a QC document in the translation folder for chapter 31 and 32 and I also translated every sound effect for those two chapters. Others to follow. Whenever I rewrote a line other than those, I made a mention in the QC doc.

A few general things:
-I've started to write "CHAPTER XX" in all caps, because it looks better.
-The font sizes vary a lot, it would be good if you could use one consistent size for each page unless they are supposed to be emphasized.
-Corollary: when using a bigger font-size for emphasis, you should make them bold, too. There are a lot of lines that are shouted pretty "big" in the original that have regular font size in the scanlation, you may want to change that for some of them.
-If it's not too much effort, you could use the newest scans that I leveled. They are of higher quality than what is used in the scanlated version.

The German translation called エリシャ "Alicia" and so did I, but Kawaii Scans called her "Elisha" which is probably her actual name. Should I call her "Elisha" in the future, and possibly go back through all the chapters and change her name?

I've always translated the omakes as "Injury time", which is the literal translation of the Japanese text. Does this read well? Would something like "Overtime" be better?

Here's a new thought I've never had before about keyboard layout design: You shouldn't only optimize for typing speed, but also for blatancy of typos. Putting 'u', 'i', and 'o' right next to each other is just asking for trouble. When you put often used keys next to each other, a typo is more likely to also produce a plausible word. Binbougami ga! was stopped for a period too by the same publisher, they said it was selling less than 200 copies in the whole country, but they managed to keep publishing it and now they're releasing a new volume every 4-5 months though the series is already finished in Japan. Despite that, if they're not continuing Otome no teikoku it means it sold a lot less than 200 copies in the whole country.
I doubt there will ever be a market for yuri in Italy, we only have, from different publishers, Aoi hana (announced in 2013, first volume in 2015 and nothing after that) and Girl friends (announced in 2013, started last december, 2nd volume on March and no news about 3rd volume).
It's not a loss for me since I can read japanese and I buy all my yuri from Japan but it's sad to see the shelves in comic shops full of yaoi and hentai (other than normal stuff) and not a single yuri.

Actually, I saw that you can buy German kindle versions of Virgins' Empire now. I just bought them and the quality is MUCH better! It makes me cry when I compare it with what we had to work with until now. The sound effects are pretty much what they were in the original; the only thing that's majorly changed are the front covers. If anyone owns the Japanese volumes and can upload high quality scans or photos of the front covers, that'd be awesome.
