Hobunsha apparently did well this year. Even though in their intramural context KinMoza S2 got shellacked by Gochiusa S2-which outsold it by more than double- they are going to pay for another episode or two on a OAD.
This is very good for Hobunsha.
Yen Press gonna publish the manga!

>outsold by more than double
Gochiusa is so by-the-numbers it hurts, stop being shit japan.
>>2017347
It's so unfair that the US gets such a vast quantity of yuri releases.
>>2018918
It could be worse. Your entire official manga translation industry could be dead like my country's is.
>>2018920
Ouch. That sounds awful. Where is that, just so I can remember never to live there?
>>2018922
It's a Mugino country, so you can be sure if you somehow end up here you are in the wrong place.
>>2018879
Yeah, I don't understand it. I couldn't get more than halfway through S1 of Gochiusa, it was just so boring.
>>2018929
Have you watched Non Non Biyori?
How does it compare to Gochiusa in your opinion?
>>2018933
Not that anon, but in my opinion Non Non Biyori was a whole lot more entertaining.
Gochiusa has zero substance beyond cgdct and apparently that's enough for many people.
>>2018923
If you are talking about BR, i am not from there
>>2018933
NNB was great. The problem with Gochiusa for me was that the characters all felt flat and uninspired, and their interactions with each other were bland and unappealing.
NNB and KinMoza both had much more interesting and entertaining characters, and much better character interaction and relationship dynamics. Those shows were also funny, while Gochiusa only had generic cuteness going for it.
>>2018946
And yet Gochiusa is just as popular KinMoza or NNB.
What the fuck Japan.
>>2018944
Same continent, wrong country my man. But I do think the manga translation industry is dead in every country of South America anyways.
>>2018977
And Yuyushiki was better than all of those, and it sold like crap.
I am happy. This way we could get more shows like this.
>>2018946
Cute little girls are doing other cute little girls with bits of humor here and there. In all of them. Stop bitching you ungrateful fag.
>>2018946
Are you me?
Not that I hate Gochiusa or anything, but I think I only watch it for the visuals rather than any substantial things like charming characters or humour. It's really is bland.
>>2018946
>>2019470
>Fellow GochiUsa dislikers/mehers
Finally, I don't feel alone! Apart from what you two have said, I personally disliked the very heavy emphasis of the boke-tsukkomi routine. Sure, Japan loves it and the other shows would occasionally do it, but GU just abused the
>X does something out of place
>Y: X you are not a Z!
routine, it wasn't that amusing. With that being said, I think the second season was an improvement over the first one. And I would gladly watch another season, it's just that in comparison it's the weakest CGDCT shows in a while.
>>2019071
That's VERY debatable. It was a whole freakin' lot of nothingness with some rather.. weird humor at times. (Though that was kinda rare too) I understand why it didn't sell. It didn't really offer anything.
>>2019482
GochiUsa is probably liked, because it has some sense of continuum and is one of the SoL series, who actually tried to have rather varying episodes and "little plots".
Kinmoza for example doesn't really give a shit in that regard. For the most part at least. They go to the beach like once a season, but otherwise it's just allllways the same. If you like it? Great. But I can't help but find it a bit boring at times. It basically fails the "long run" test for me. It's fun at first, but doesn't manage to mix things up enough to STAY fun.
Gochiusa however tried to incorporate all kinds of plots to give the whole thing a bit more variation. However because I don't know s2 yet, I'd rather give another example of a series who does this part really well, and was super successful: K-On S2. It's actually a bit annoying, that most cute girls series don't try to copy what made K-On S2 so successful. I suppose it's not too relevant, when you only have one season anyway. But still. Gochiusa seems to try. And that made it my favorite cute girls series in recent times. Together with non non biyori, which also seems to try, even though it's a bit of a different genre. I mean a little bit of character-development and unique events aren't really too much to ask for, right?
>>2018946
>>2019470
>>2019482
I felt the same way about Gochiusa S1, but desu with S2 they stepped up their game so much I'm glad they're being rewarded with such good sales.
I think it definitely beat Yuru Yuri S3 and Kinimoza S2 as far as sequels go, perhaps because those already had a better beginning in comparison, but I was still very pleasantly surprised.
NNB would be the underdog for me right now, probably because it doesn't have as strong yuri over/undertones as the others.
>>2019542
I don't think it beat Kinmoza S2, maybe it's because I'm biased for the yuri, but Kinmoza S2 managed to be fun and deliver yuri, while Gochiusa S2 was just fun with less concentrated yuri. Yuru Yuri had other problems unrelated to that.
>>2019542
Am I the only one who liked the evolution of CocoChino?
>>2019746
I love it too, it's safe to say that CocoChino has more character development than anyone in Kinmoza, but at the end Kinmoza is funnier and yurier, CocoChino and the character development is a nice plus, but it's not enough to be better.
>>2019817
I feel Non Non Biyori was the most entertaining, followed by Gochiusa, while Kinmoza just had too much focus on kinpatsu this kinpatsu that. Gochiusa felt yurier than kinmoza for me because it often seemed like Shino was more interested in kinpatsu rather than Alice, and sometimes the same could be said of Honoka with regards to Karen.
>>2025223
The blonde thing was kinda solved at the end of the first episode of season 2 though.
And Alice herself is really interested in Shino. Also, today is her birthday.
Got my hands on an Alice's MMD model, there's no Shino yet.
Any requests? There's a limited amount of yuri I can make with one character, but I can try.
>>2026285
That's lewd anon.
>>2026472
Yeah, in other news it's a pain to move her fingers without breaking them. But I managed to do this:
http://imgur.com/a/zpocU
Which Alice is the best Alice?
i like both gochiusa and kinmoza, is that heresy?
and i think 1st season of kinmoza has too many screentime for shino's blonde fetish
good thing 2nd season have more aya
Ayaya Ayaya Ayaya best girl.
>>2032856
>>2026936
This. Ayaya is the best.
>>2032856
Meh
Seen one MTK twintails seen them all. She doesn't even have the advantage of being a gun nut or being able to murder zombies with a shovel.
>>2032943
She has the advantage ofbeing gay.
>>2032945
Kurumi is the only straight twintails.
>>2032946
Eh, she has reasonable doubt.
>>2046485
Who wouldwin in a pillow fightbetween Aya, Youko, Shino, Alice, Honoka and Karen?
Kinpatsu powers allowed and encouraged.
>>2046492
Youko, or Shino if she gets motivated by kinpatsu.
>>2046501
I almost read that as "kinpantsu".
I think I've just found Shino's ultimate fetish.
>>2046535
Woven from the strands of Alice and Karen's kinpatsu.
Would Shino make a wedding ring out of Alice's golden pubic hair?
>>2046854
Yes, it's Shino we're talking about.
The question is Alice's reaction.
Anyone here watching Bakuon? It's kind of weird hearing Karen being tsundere to Youko.
>>2046854
Does Alice have golden pubic hair? Does Karen>?
>>2054758
Of course, it would be weird if she didn't.
>Houbunsha splurges that monstrous Gochiusa dosh into Kinmosa and Yuyushiki OADs
>Houbunsha doesn't splurge a single cent of all that monstrous Gochiusa dosh into K-On season 3
>>2060269
Wouldn't be weird if Karin didn't. But Shino would be turned off by dark pubes. So Alice must.
>>2066777
And nothing of value was lost.
>>2066857
Kakifly failed to write any useable material for after graduation. And Hobunsha failed to acquire the rights to the characters.
>>2066867
>Hobunsha failed to acquire the rights to the characters.
Huh, that's the first time I heard that K-On is creator-owned. Izzat also the case with Kinmosa and Gochiusa?
>Kakifly failed to write any useable material for after graduation.
animated sumire never
animated nao never
animated akira never
>>2066777
To be completely honest K-on is the least yuri out of those titles, I'll happily take more GochiUsa and especially more Yuyushiki.
>>2067643
>Huh, that's the first time I heard that K-On is creator-owned. Izzat also the case with Kinmosa and Gochiusa?
Most manga are.
>people actually disliked gochiusa
and here I am hoping for a crossover
>>2073758
So November 12th is the OVA.
And it will be in theaters? That's surprising.
>>2073802
It's not uncommon. YuruYuri Natsuyachumi got one.
>>2054724
Best girls of their respective anime have the same VA, who would've thought?
>>2081223
Shino is best girl, though.
