My end goal is to have a big mansion filled with upsetting oil paintings of myself. Master the art, and then spend my time making one small detail off to make it real creepy. Somehow in all of that, people keep coming to visit me, so the art isn't wasted.

Personally I find loomis to be a really shitty teacher for anyone just getting started. His books all suffer from a great deal of Step 1 Draw a circle, Step 2 draw the rest of the owl. Michael Hampton was a lot more helpful for me.
