As it is, it's really uncertain if there'll ever be another season. As far as I remember it sold less than 4k copies per volume. Which is rather bad. There are very few anime that sold that few volumes and got another season afterwards.

I've been trying to decipher the Miyanaga family's dark past, but all I can discern from this picture is that The little blonde girl is most likely their cousin or other relative; you can see she has the signature tuft of hair sticking out. In some recent chapters, reporter Nishida went to Nagano and found the burnt "Miyanaga" house, but it's most likely the blonde girl's. When it got burned down, it lead to her being handicapped. I'm not sure how to explain the other images.

How Toki came to find Mahjong:
Ryuuka and Toki were playing in the park. Toki is bad a physical activities so Ryuuka then suggests they play something Toki likes. She dumps out Toki's bag to find a bunch of wooden stacking blocks. Toki liked playing with wooden blocks. Ryuuka then says "Come to my place, I'll show you some new types of blocks" where she introduces Toki to her grandma and Mahjong. Grandma goes full Teru on Toki and then gives her a little guide. They play some more and Toki wins her first hand. Then Mahjong Tanoshii takes over and Toki is a slave to the tiles.
