It's not that different. There are a few new scenes and the game mechanics got changed up a bit, but the story is the same if that was your question.
Still there were enough changes to make it worthwhile for me personally. I really liked that the original DLC characters and oracles are included.

Getting the true end is convoluted as fuck if you don't know what your doing. It look me about 3-4 ng+ to get it the first time.

Viewing the events are what's important here, the true end has nothing to do with shares except for unlocking some of the events you need for the true end, otherwise your locked out and need to start again.

For Vert get Leanbox shares to 40%
Blanc, Lowee shares to 40%

If you finish one nation without viewing the nap event your fucked reload and redo it.

Neptune's part is different you have to do the limited time quests and see the specific scenes that follow. When I say their limited time you have a short interval to do these quests, so do them as soon as you see it. Same with the histy events and the events related to an old game in Chuuko's shop. You need 60% shares for Planeptune to unlock the nap event (it's Histy napping not Nep).

If you missed the events during Zero dimension with Histy when Neptune goes back, you already messed up.

The way shares work in VII is that shares don't take away from other nations, you can just keep raising shares. They decrease overtime, or by taking damage or dying.
