I'd actually be fine with filler in an anime version. Each arc doesn't seem like it'd be more than one episode, excluding Domestic Killer and Virginal Rose since they're huge deals. Filler, so long as Yoshimura was advising. It'd give people like Rinko or Miyuki more time.

What do you think a good genre for a Murcielago game would be? I could easily see a Hitman-esque preparation-based game.

I liked Kuroko's plan int he raincoat man storyline. I'm glad they're showing that she's both smart and deadly. I thought it was absurd that she could have ever killed that many people without plans. Hope there's more TACTICAL GENIUS on her part in upcoming chapters.

I'd say the lesbian part is pretty clear, considering said rant has a kinda mournful feel, ends with what amounts to "Even those who 'are not' are, a little bit", did those two /ll/ posts indicating she takes sexual interest in yuri concepts (if that wasn't obvious from how much detail she puts into the sex scenes, almost as much as the gore scenes), and how a long while back she went on another rant about how everybody's really a lesbian on the inside.

As for free to dream, that's a bit harder to define.

You have to deal with all sorts of people on the internet. I'd rather not, for example, join a game lobby and see a picture of Kuroko being used by xXBloodLordXx. Or be watching something on youtube and see a thumbnail of her in suggested videos with a title like "My top 5 darkest animes"; or swing by MyAnimeList to check who voice acted a familiar sounding character in a show (which is really the quickest and easiest way to check) and see something like "Gasai Yuno vs Koumori Kuroko" in the recent forum posts section of the front page. It's depressing and it ruins the series for me just a tiny little bit, but those little bits add up.

I bring up Yuno because that's exactly what happened with her. I've had this discussion before in these threads, but I'm a fan of yandere characters, not because omgbloodxD but because characters who are blindly and wholly devoted to their love are a favorite of mine. "I'll die or kill anyone for you" is great. I enjoyed Yuno, but then Mirai Nikki got steadily more popular, culminating in its anime, and suddenly anytime I saw a reference to it, or especially pictures of Yuno, they were being done/used by annoying kids going on and on about how much they love serial killers and would xDkilleveryone. It ruins a character. Associations get made and eventually fandoms become cringe enough that you want nothing to do with them, because bringing a series up intices those kind of people to join the discussion.

It's just something I'd rather not deal with, not for the sake of seeing the same story but animated, especially something like Murcielago, which in general, isn't an art style or manga type that benefits from being animated. The action scenes are too quick and the art too detailed, short of securing an insanely high budget, animation would very likely be a step down in quality.

I was just explaining why I get annoyed by annoying people taking a great deal of interest in things I enjoy. It seems to me, you actually feel the exact same way I do:

I.e. there are fans who are very annoying and you would rather not deal with them.

My whole point is that animating a series of this type just creates a massive influx of exactly that type of annoying fan. In my opinion it isn't worth it for 12 episodes of questionable quality for a series that is better suited to the manga format than an animated one.

I don't expect it to be the exact same as real anime but it would be opening up more creativity, rather than just stuff like looney tunes we might have more serious types of cartoons with underlying plots rather than just things aimed at children, even if we have been getting better with it. I'd say Rinko is closer to successor. Hinako is too Hinako to ever be what Kuroko is, Rinko is young enough and empty enough to be molded into whatever Kuroko wants. Kuroko is even feeding her urges to kill people by letting her help out with work.

Calling it now: Miyuki is the Hinako to the mystery villain's Kuroko. They just share the love for Kuroko since she's that much of a chick magnet.

Kiyuki is definitely related to her in some way, either romantically, familially, or by faction. Her color them seems to be white and the people in her faction are keen on fanciness to contrast Kuroko's normally slacker-like lifestyle. Despite being basic polar opposites, style-wise (Her symbol-brooch and Miyuki's eyes are even horizontal slits, to contrast with Kuroko's horizontal ones) she seems to have been in a very close relationship with Kuroko in the past and is apparently doing everything for her.


I have a feeling she was the one who raised Hinako after Kuroko killed her family, and programmed her extremely violent mode she goes into when hurt as a means of preventing Kuroko from dying via the chip.


She also seems to be a brilliant scientist, having invented Cesare and its more refined version that Yukari and that new character with Reiko have, as well as owning an entire "prison hospital."

Hinako is the deuteragonist, no way she's going anywhere, especially when we have yet to see the upper limits of how fucked up she is whereas Renko's degree of insanity was made very clear very fast.


No matter what method she activated, she was shown to be pretty unstoppable when she entered that state, and given how she said "now we're even" she was also defintiely holding back so as not to instantly kill Renko.

It might be driven by her own anger, or possibly as >>1953787 theorized, conditioning.


Kuroko's pretty smart, I'm 99% sure she knows about it, especially given how she no doubt at least played some part in its creation. If she ever does intend to kill Hinako, I feel that she'd activate the mode first. She called killing Hinako in her normal moe state merit-less.

I find it interesting that when she goes into murder mode she entirely lacks the sadism the other killers in the manga do, which is probably part of why it's so scary.She's entirely objective-focused, part of why she's so uninvolved with the action parts of plots now is because that rage mode could have ended most of them in instants.

I'm two chapters in, wrapping up the third, but I've been busy since my work wants me to work overtime, and I get paid extra for said overtime, so it's tempting. But uh, point being, I'm (moderately) more free tonight.
