Honestly though symphogear is a hard show to translate well in the first place because they use some very advanced words and songs always lose a lot of their feel when translated.

But I watched it raw with my 3 years of high school Japanese and I was able to get through it fine despite not understanding 80% of it because you don't watch symphogear for the plot. You watch it for lesbians, shit blowing up, and songs. And if you're on /u/, you're yuri vocabulary should be good enough to pick up on the lesbian scenes regardless of your understanding.
