Good news if you're following Sunstone. Apparently, chapter 5 needs to be done comes May, so updates should pick up.
Having said that, I'm not sure whether I should appreciate that this chapter is the last with lesbians, and that it will probably end with them reconciling after that ch4 blowout. On the one hand, it will feel a little rushed, because I want to see them having some fun times too, not mope about. On the other, it's good there is some plot going on, even if the melodrama gets on my nerves sometimes.

Roomie was always shit from the beginning. It only took 200 strips to realize that nothing is going to happen or change. Not to mention the hippie philosophy garbage that the artist blatantly hammers into the comic.

I think the artist/writer has some of her own plans for where she may want to take things, but it seems she is also influenced by people who post in response to her work on the site. Snad'hyrune is monogamous lesbian.

So is, Mel'anarch, even though her mother had Mel raped by men for two decades to produce more heirs.

Main character Ariel is monogamous lesbian along with her lover Faen.

Then you have Quain'tana. Who is some sort of weird lesbian relationship with Ash'waren. Though they will fuck men for the purposes of having children to make the clans stronger.

Keil and Nal had this Yuri thing going on. Though Keil is definitely into men.

Most of the other female characters are strictly hetero. Though they view it as simply as a mean to increase numbers of the clan for political and military strength.

My 2¢ on Go Get a Roomie:

interesting enough main characters. both of them start off shallow but gain more and more interesting depth as the series goes on. want them to be together, and there's some doubt that they will be/should be, so i'm interested.

side characters have a little depth, but the fact that they're basically a rainbow of all the different types of special snowflakes you can imagine is pretty annoying. it devalues them all a lot to think that they exist firstly to fill the role of "the trans woman", the "submissive", the "intersex", and only secondly as independent, developing characters.

the one character who fills the role of "normal jackoff with normal jackoff problems." is pretty neglected, even in the latest arc where he's at the center of things. if he was given the same weight as the rest of the cast, it would help ground the story a little and give all of the characters a bit less of an "alien" vibe. I focus on that a lot and it infuriates me, how there are no normal people around to show that all the snowflakes are themselves normal and respectable, rather than alien and circus-y.

I've read it for a year or two, and I'm still reading it, but I'm losing interest by the week. It's getting further and further into "milking it" territory.

The big thing that bugs me about this comic is how you can't tell the difference between any of the characters or whether they're male or female. They try to paint the society as some big matriarchal females are in charge but they go at it half-hearted. There are tons of male characters popping up, having commanding roles, and supposedly they're smaller than the average female but they're all freaking huge warriors that all the girls will run to for protection. You can feel the french guy writing this doesn't really want this to be about the female characters, he doesn't even have his society fully realized. Even their big historical hero was actually a male but boo hoo the girls don't like that so they pretended he was a girl. I can barely drag myself over to the site because I don't know what the fuck is going on or care.

The basic rule is never trust the french. They don't know what they're doing.

I don't know why but there's a lack of grace in these characters. The art and coloring is of extremely high quality, but there's just something about it that seems 'thick'. not in a fat way, but in a lack of precision. it's really odd, but take like Their Story's characters are all much more graceful and clean, even the more masculine characters. Just a strange artstyle overall.

In my experience, people who haven't considered same-sex love themselves (like Mina, who is either not interested in sex in general or so deep int he closet Narnia is a faint light on the horizon) really DON'T consider that part of being in love with another person of the same sex.

Also, it gave us more insight in their characters. Mina really is smarter than Erin treats her like, and she's kind of sensitive to graphic situations and descriptions. Like, really sensitive to them. Erin being an SJW makes her attitude towards Sol Invictus even more interesting, and when she actually has to come to terms with being a bigot, I expect tears of frustration.

Before there were even chapters, it was a loose collection of drawings, and instead of Lisa (not Ally, mixed them up) writing that story of hers with the dom getting two subs (which caused Ally to think it's what Lisa really wants and getting closer with Anne), Ally got Anne to join them in their activities, and them separating in ch4 would be caused by that, not Lisa getting insecure about Ally not seeing her different than the second sub.

Read this all and still have no clue what it is about. The art is iffy but it has a lot of great moments, shame many of them get ruined by all the interference and inclusion of that group of boys and the random het sex (don't worry, it isn't the main couple). Why do western comics do that in lesbian stories, it is damn annoying.

I get what you're saying, it is SoL to a degree. Still, when you start a story with 2 girls flirting and spend 99% of the comic exploring that relationship it wasn't my expectation that a male character who barely even has dialgoue (or a name?) is randomly shown exhibitionist-fucking someone. I guess that in a story where it took 200-odd pages for the main couple to tease at groping and for an explicit vagina to appear, I didn't expect the scene after would follow it up with a het sex scene.

I'll have to check back in a few months to see if the main couple go further since their dom/sub interactions are interesting but I hope it won't come at the cost of more het fanservice.
