Awfully nice they're still producing anime stuff for something that got a pretty humble reception. Figure if another OVA was in the plans they'd have gotten it out back in 2014.

The announcement didn't give a release date.

I'm glad to see a locodol thread. They're few and far between.

Also, don't expect it soon, but I plan to scan the released manga compilations at some point (once I get free time / a scanner and learn how to do it). I uploaded the drama CDs a few months ago, so I might as well go all-in on making this stuff available.

Picked up this show due to this thread, and it's fantastic. I wish they were heavier with the yuri, but it's still entertaining. Just finished episode 7.

That said, can anyone who's not shit at this type of thing make a better reaction webm/gif than this? Recording with GifCam at 33 FPS makes it 5.5MB, and I don't know how to eliminate repeated frames to cut the filesize down without screwing up the timing. I used cloudconverter to make it into a webm, and now it's all fuzzy despite trying to pick the highest-quality options.

The last 2 episodes kick up the gay between them again so much, it's glorious. I've noticed in a lot of shows that the MC makes bosom friends with one girl first and they're really gay, and then they become friends with other characters and their relationship doesn't get any attention anymore, but Locodol didn't disappoint in the end.

My apologies, it was actually 9 and 11 I was thinking of, but 10 and 12 were pretty good too. Yukari 'helping' Nana write lyrics and tucking her in, and that roof scene in episode 12 alone is worth watching the rest of the episode. The OVA has some great moments too, but it's disappointing due the whole middle part full of all those characters I don't care about. Why do they think we even bother watching OVAs for yuri shows? So they can cram in as much pointless flirting as possible that they couldn't when they actually had a plot to expose.

Add me to the list of people who just watched this. It wasn't amazing or anything, but I certainly appreciate how light and adorable and drama-free it was. I had heard of this show before but I had no idea it was technically an idol thing. Shouldn't the title be "Locadol" instead? Whatever.

It's been spending a bit more time on developing other characters and the setting, but is also includes the christmas/birthday thing, Yukari being disappointed that she hasn't spent much time with Nana lately, and Nana forgetting that other people might think it's weird that she knows Yukari's bed and bath comfortably fit two girls. The last chapter of the 4th release includes Nanako telling Yukari how happy she is that they're partners, and then them flirting (with Nana calling Yukari cute repeatedly).

There's just so many little things that help make this OVA great. Nanyako looking slightly jealous and determined to make Yukari's birthday great, the background music during the yuri scenes, everyone supporting their relationship and pushing it forward through Nana's density.

That wasn't the real context. What Ayana Yuniko meant is that she has made the decision to loosen up some on the definition of yuri. And I can sort of understand that, after years have passed, with a lot things changing. Not to mention, the Japanese yuri fanbase's view on the genre itself. However, that doesn't mean that is the "ideal" yuri, or the kind of yuri she likes or wants for herself.

In a study of yuri, there was a little more elaboration on this. I don't know if it's from the same interview you posted up above (which was only a partial translation sample of the whole interview) or from elsewhere, but Ayana Yuniko mentioned that the Yuri genre can't grow well, if everything is gonna be "Iyashi" Yuri. And she would like to see yuri with more intense feelings. It's a bit obvious that she means more canon yuri, as you can't get these kind of feelings going around without two girls being genuinely invested in each other.

It turns out there was another pair of song + drama CDs released. Not on nyaa/bbt, and I wouldn't be surprised if they just haven't been uploaded anywhere.
Anyone know of somewhere that does have them? They're the "Itsudemo genki! Nana-chan to..." and "Nonbiriya no Yukari-san to..." ones.

If they can't be found, then I'll order + upload them once I have a computer with a CD drive again, but I'm not sure how long that will be.

You can make a fake address at tenso.com and add it as domestic shipping address at Amazon.jp in your settings, or use the one you're using for your forwarding service, assuming you're already using one for physical copies.
You can keep the real address for your credit card, of course, they just need a japanese address to deliver the Kindle stuff.

What the fuck is going on with the slope on this grass? It looks like it's a wall made out of grass with a 90 degree incline with how the people's legs are positioned.
