What is the best comedy podcast?
Waking Up with Sam Harris
aunty donna podcast
i'd understand all of their references better if I was australian but it's hilarious enough anyway
Hollywood Handbook. Although it's currently in a bit of a slump, the old episodes are the best.

CBB jumped the shark in 2011. It used to make me angry what the show's turned into, now I just don't care. It's similar to what happened to the Simpsons.
who /cumtown/ here?
>>87851374
Head like a fucking orange
this one duh
Turns out.. little monkey fella.
>>87855328
Is Cumtown alt-right related somehow? I've only ever heard about it on /tv/.
>>87855292
Oh come on. It's nowhere near as bad as you are making it out to be.
I do notice a drop in Scott's passion in later episodes though. Especially after the show was cancelled

Hotdog go to bathroom, santa man
>>87855374
This is the first time I have ever seen another bonehead in one of these threads. Such an unbelievably underrated show.

>>87855394
I think U Talkin' U2 To Me? Is Scott at his funniest honestly. Hopefully they do more episodes every so often.
>>87855389
>alt-right related
generally not but sometimes it gets mildly political incorrect
>>87855292
what a show where they talk to the same 15 people on loop on shill their stupid internet mockumentary series?
remember way back when lauren was on for the first time? that's the last time something new happened, in my estimation.
>>87855389

>>87855516
Okay, just wondering if I'd be able to get into it if I'm not into /pol/.
>>87855550
>>87855580
High highs, but I absolutely can't stand the episodes where they talk down to their audience over topics they clearly know nothing about. They act like dropping out of highschool makes them experts on every little topic.
>>87855328
this
>>87855516
yeah, he has that edginess to him and has also mentioned 4chan a couple of times
>>87855602
definitely, it's far away from being /pol/
>>87855394
>It's nowhere near as bad as you are making it out to be
Scott stopped trying in 2011, and the show stopped being funny around 2013. I'm not saying that to be mean- it's just a fact
>>87855524
her first appearance appears to be 180 according to the wiki
and i am being hyperbolic, of course new things have happened, but i feel like lauren was the last time we got something truly new. lots of classics were established previous to this, in the death ray days
after that i think can be reductive and say a given episode will have: lapkus, pft, jason, actors from kulap's shows, that lesbian couple. that would cover a significant portion of post-180 episodes. in terms of innovative content distribution this would be significantly right-tailed
>>87855626
oh yeah they are clearly uneducated. But that's what makes them so funny.
>>87855799
Gabrus has been a solid recurring guest and Mike Hanford's John Lennon is great.
>>87855763
I have to disagree
>>87855425
i think about dunkamen's sauce, eucalyptics, and mouse milk all the fucking time
>>87855990
>>87855425
>>87855374
What is the episode where they keep leaving voice messeges at movie theaters pretending to be that actor from How I Met Your Mother? Fucking gold.
>>87855799
That was the one where she was on with Gilli*sorry*an Jacobs? She was playing an annoying girl who lived in Italy for a semester and came back with an accent. I remember haaaaating her. I really thought she was bad at first. I think it took two or three appearances before she really started to grow on me.
These days I mostly like her, but I have noticed she and the rest of the wild horses have this comedic crutch of "when in doubt, make the scene about sex" they constantly fall back on. Like if she senses a scene is dragging or she doesn't know where to take things next, she ALWAYS goes to sex as a way to get a cheap laugh. I'm not sure if it's unimaginative laziness, or if she genuinely thinks she's being funny- but she and all the other horses do it constantly.
Harris' presence is sorely missed.

I have no idea why. Scott objectively puts less effort into the show than he did in the beginning. That's not an opinion, you can quantify it. There used to be produced segments, theme songs and games. Guests used to come in with prepared bits they'd prewritten, or at least outlined the broad strokes of.
Basically I'm saying MTV doesn't play music videos anymore, and in response you're trying to tell me it's an opinion
Talksport: The Two Mikes. 2 65 year old newspaper hacks Funny as fuck they just did a gig in New York last night, they basically talk about current events while insulting each other
>>87855799
>that lesbian couple
I don't even have anything against them but Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher are never funny.

>that last You Made it Weird episode
>Scientology girlfriend forces him to go through celebrity rehab
>he bails and gets so depressed he goes back on heroin
>getting ripped off twice trying to buy at 2am in the shittiest parts of LA
>finally gets some and gets a drug dealing hobo to show him how to shoot up
>takes it home and annihilates himself with it
>he's supposed to be writing for Parks and Rec at the time
>this is a little while before the episode
>ODs and dies like a month later
That shit was off the fucking chain

Brendon Small's Victor and Tiny has been genuinely amazing but they have to be like 3 years old by now.

You Made It Weird is my favorite podcast by a mile. The Chris Gethard episode is probably my favorite.

The show is just as funny as ever. It's quantifiable.
>>87857623
Now that Seeso is going under, things will be back on track.
U Talkin U2 2 Me is great and made me realize that their older stuff was a actually pretty good
>>87857623
You can think it's funny all you want, but they actually do fewer things on the show than they used to that require any effort. There's less variety and the show seems stale and formulaic. But to you that might seem like genius comedy, it's a subjective art form.
>>87857868
