They're only using it to compare the height difference.
>>
A megafauna movie would be better for getting kids into history and animals
Gimme dat supersloths
Size of a bear with 9 inch nails that could jab through your fuckin skull
>>
>>87781543
probably cause they would have needed to die in good conditions that would allow fossilization

its hard to find sea fossils and bird fossils because usually they die in places where fossilization is difficult

This was years before Jurassic park was ever a thing, that late 80's early 90's resurgence in paleontology because of dudes like baker turning shit upside down. It was a great time and place to be a kid.
>>
>>87781500
Yes, and it gets it's ass kicked by the I-Rex. He manages to get a good tail swing in, though, but the movie decides to completely ignore this.

I dunno why that, of all things mentioned at the time, is whats catchy. Maybe because it would be the Apex of it's area?
>Guys picking on some chick in the wilderness, ripping her clothes off and pushing her down onto the floor
>One says to his buddy, "hold her down so we can take some pictures"
>"Haha great idea, let's do this"
>Friend pulls out his dumbphone to snapcunt the event to his friends
>All of a sudden, 5 huge nails burst through the guy's face from the back, the body gets lifted into the air
>A large, wooly animal with a long, thin anteater like tongue licks the blood dripping down it's hand and arm
>It turns it's head and looks at the other horrified onlookers, one guy runs; the other shits his pants
Fuck this needs to be more than an idea

It's the result of a decade of scripts being edited and rewritten and edited and rewritten

Remember that horrible early script with the half-human dino-hybrids created for the military?
Well the I Rex is the result.
Now it's a mix of super-dinosaurs designed for the military.
But oops, they forgot the part of the movie to say that's why it was able to dodge infrared. It was designed to. Wu's whole thing was to make a designer military dinosaur and pass it off as a new attraction
Whoops, forgot to explain that one to.
All we're left is hints and dropped plot points all over the place

It's fuckhuge.

Blue whales can exist because they eat massive amounts of krill. Megalodon would need to eat massive amounts.

Whatever they wanted.
Back then there was still pretty much one major ocean and several large shallow warm seas being created as the continents drifted apart, and no humans hunting.
Before commercial whaling sperm whales would travel in packs that were miles long from feeding ground to feeding ground. There is a lot of food in the ocean.
