literal style over substance flick, matter fact the story and pacing were so by-the-numbers that the makers had to release 16 different versions to revise the flick and to keep the buzz alive, even the director himself had backpedalled 500 times on the content.

movies with this many versions are just an editing room disaster and they didn't know what to do with it

I stopped after 40 min, insanely boring, people just liked it for the environment. I at least sat through dumb shit like the first Judge Dredd

It looks and sounds amazing, but that's about all it has to offer. The storyline had so much potential but they failed to tap into it and the film feels like it has a lot of nerd porn filler.

I remember I was a teenager when this came out and we all liked it and thought it was cool, and maybe it is a little "mesmerizing" but to say it is boring seems strange to me. Have you all had your minds warped by the video games and smartphone addiction that anything that isn't video game paced is "boring" to you? I feel sorry for you.
