I feel like Jim Carey's worldview is meant to be infinitely-inclusive and focuses on the wholeness of the universe, but when I hear about decades long one-on-one journeys with famous spiritual teachers and high-exercise meditation, it begins to feel very exclusive and disinviting to those who have not performed some extremely specific longform self-actualizing ritual. I've meditated, I've tripped, I've experienced good bits of this understanding, can I just know it and be done with it? I mean, something about this being Carey's lifelong trained exercise really limits how open and free this is supposed to feel. I think Carey is spinning his wheels diving so deep into it and making each moment about it. I think his wholesome universal understanding can be had without so much ritual and exercise, and that his art and work with this religious counseler is an overorganization of a very simple idea.
