Watching a couple of clips now, it may have been the forerunner of a lot of the obnoxious SJW tenets

Are we living in a world that was created by Wonder Showzen?
>>
Pretty much this >>87681983

PFFR was very creative on the presentation of the show and its humor, and the last episodes of each season are some next level shit.
Their political jokes had no real side and just attacked everyone (although rednecks and red states were their favorite target), which also came out as a surprise.

anti-white commie gobbity gook, the creator is a nigger

I know PFFR was responsible for Xavier: renegade angel. How similar are the two shoes?

those are deliberately made to trigger redpilled idiots who take pride in race. they are for alt-righters what alt-righters think they are for SJW, that's why they always made fun of rednecks like >>87682094 said

You can tell that Wonder Showzen is a show for MTV. Its jokes are almost all political and more often than not very in the face and juvenile, but presented in the PFFR way. The use of puppets somehow didn't limit them. The animated segments grow in quality as the series advances. Near the end of Season 2 you can tell that PFFR wasn't giving a shit about what the viewers expected to see, and that comes as very refreshing and funny.

Xavier enjoys more of the creativity and bonkers writing style of PFFR, but its presentation is uglier (this can be considered good depending on your view). It's a show that rambles about more niche and specific subjects, and still does so with effectivity. In a way, it's a slightly more mature and adult show than Wonder Showzen due to its jokes being even faster and better squared.

TLDR: Both shows use their visuals very creatively, but Wonder Showzen does it better.
Both shows have top tier writing and dialogues, but Xavier does it better.

Hobo Ops was good.

Love Wonder Showzen, Xavier and The Heart She Holler are also pretty good.

It has a liberal slant, but it's categorically different from the current climate given how offensive and non-PC the show is.

I haven't watched this shit since it was on tv. I remember it was pretty funny and very weird.
Stiffle and Ollie will always be the patrician's choice for weird hallucinogenic comedy content on MTV.

>A recurring feature isBeat Kids,an uncomfortably-named kid-on-the-street showcase of young reporters out in the real world, looking for the scoop. One boy goose-steps and stomps around Manhattan dressed asAdolf Hitler, waving a microphone and asking grownups, "What do you think is wrong with the youth of today?" Adults are momentarily stunned by the visceral disconnection between the child's clothing and his playful demeanor -- but they don't know how to respond to the boy's offer of letting them stay at his "summer camp".
>Unfortunately, the Hitler kid episode aired duringYom HaShoah,Holocaust Remembrance Day. Caryl Stern -- Holocaust survivor and associate national director of the ADL -- told one reporter, "There are enough things to do in the world that one doesn't have to dress up as Hitler for humor".

No, MTV was not cool even when Wonder Showzen was airing. The show was ahead of its time and MTV didn't know what they had.
>>
For those who complain about them making fun of Christians, it was a valid thing to do in the 2000s

>>
I liked it when it was on TV, but rewatching the DVDs recently made me realize there was a liberal bias to the show that I can't stand now.
>>
>>87682203

This. It's fucking trash and horribly dated. It's a carbon copy of early 00s anti-bush pretentious libtard sentiments without any depth or nuance. It also uses children which is disgusting.
>>
>>87687707
>intelligence and objectivity is a liberal bias that tv can't stand

seems legit
>>
>>87687669

What exactly changed over the past fifteen years or so that made it okay to rip on Christians back then, but which makes it uncool today - as your post has just implied?

Protip: there is no way for you to answer this rhetorical question without exposing yourself as an idiot and a hypocrite, which was already evident in your post, but is being underlined in this retort. It's definitely not anything like: you've grown up somewhat over the past fifteen years, yet still fondly remember TV of your youth and your previous views nostalgically. Nope, it couldn't be anything like that. Nah.

Because it was the hardline christians that sought to ban things and put warning labels (trigger warnings) on everything.
I don't know where you get the idea from that I'm a hypocrite on this aspect, very odd thing to claim.

It's not the principle it's the application moron. Jews started equating degenerate shit with "freedom" while fighting against pornography regulations. It's a form of control.
>>
>>87681851

Showing your age there eh Sneed poster?
>>
>>87688186
Right, and if you give people the power to enforce ''decency laws'' the tables will eventually turn, and you'll be forced to call a man a woman, because it's simply the nice thing to do.
>>
>>87688186
>fighting against pornography regulations
what's wrong with that?
>>
>>87688164
Maybe you're not enough enough to remember what pretentious 00s anti-bush libtard culture was like. In reality it has little to do with bush, it's was all about fellating themselves by mentioning a handful of trendy topics without having any understanding of them.

Nearly everyone thought Bush was "dumb". That's not the same thing.
>>
>>87688298
The issue is not with shows mocking Bush or Trump, it's them not doing it with Obama or Clinton, that's what makes it sting to right leaning people.
Shows just sucked Obama's dick for 8 years and then suddenly they get ''critical'' on the presidents work.
>>
>>87688298
Are you sure you're not the young one? People thought he was dumb because of how he could barely do a public speech without fucking up, it just didn't happen randomly.
>>
>>87688380
Wonder Showzen wasnt even around when Obama was in office so your post has nothing to do with this thread
>>
>>87688225
>It's not the principle it's the application moron

Every country has the government it deserves The people don't decide on this shit anyway, there was no referendum. It's legal jargon, loopholes, bribes etc.
>>
>>87688428
I was talking about shows in general, since people complain about the 00s anti bush culture.
It's slightly off topic but just deal with it, faggot.
>>
>>87688392
>still thinking it's about bush

When I said anti-bush I meant the administration with him being used as a low hanging fruit that made the USA look weak which is why libtards attacked. The shallow anti-america criticism wasn't mainly about bush himself by a longshot.

You don't even know what we are talking about.

Why do you think I'm arguing in defense of bush or the american government? I'm arguing libtards at the time didn't actually understand any of the flaws they parroted about america. It was all just virtue signaling. You'd reference going to war for oil, or the gulf war being a thing or americans being dumb or some trendy shit like pic related for pats on the back.

This show is kind of tryhard and just not very funny (aside from the Beat Kidz segments).

Among MTV sketch/variety comedy shows from that period, "Jackass", "The Tom Green Show", and "The Andy Milonakis Show" are all better, and more "kino".

I am not a fan of PFFR in general, but "Xavier: Renegade Angel" is watchable.
>>
>>87682357
I like Xavier but I watched a bit of Wonder Showzen and it was mind-numbing. A few clips are entertaining.
>>
It's a show for stupid people who think they're clever. See also Vice; Sanders, Bernie; and most of the Adult Swim lineup.
