I watched the first 5 or 6 seasons. Season 1 is monster of the week and decent, Season 2 it starts to really find it's footing, and then it's really great until like season 5, then it starts to stumble a bit.

I plan on watching the rest, but it is hard to stay fresh when your show wants to be a little dark and dangerous but also you have 20+ episodes per season so you have to account for the fact it's been on for a really long time with the same cast.

It's already over 260 episodes. That puts it in rare company for a scripted show. If you exclude animation and shows that had large cast change overs, even rarer company.
