Is it kino?

Only the American recut+dub
Yes. Both it and the reedit starring Raymond Burr. Despite what some people will tell you, the latter is rather faithful and respectful to the original cut. Mothra vs Godzilla (1964), GMK (2001) and Shin Godzilla are also legitimately good films worth checking out. The lightest you should go starting off is Monster Zero (1965).
Avoid pretty much everything Heisei (1984-1995), Millennium (1999-2004), and from the late Showa Era (1966-1975) until you try some of the ones listed above.
I was just about to make a Godzilla thread. Which are the top 5 Zilla kinos?
Final Wars is fucking badass.

I enjoy it but come on mane
The dubbing is the worst part of it too

Final Wars is to only be appreciated ironically. It's honestly a modern equivalent to Godzilla vs Megalon and is divisive even among fans.

I remember hating it the first time, but that was over 10 years ago now. Idk it just caught me off-guard by how in-your-face it was. Should I rewatch it?

It's a fun movie but it isn't going to give you anything more than entertainment like Shin

Expect Matrix/Singer's X-Men aesthetics, blink-and-you-miss monster battles, a copious amount of martial arts, early 2000s music video/action movie tier editing, "homages" to a number of popular Hollywood movies, and special effects that are weak for their time. But if you enjoy pure insanity and lots of monsters it might be your thing.
>ywn have Godzilla praise you for a athletic victory
