But 300 is great. Its such a dumb plot but the movie evokes courage, brotherhood, manliness in ways that elevates it over other action blockbusters. It makes you believe for some moments that honor can and should exist. Its a movie that after you watch it you want to grab an axe and start killing gay niggers.

The movie has a goal, and fulfills that goal perfectly. imo 300 is underrated as fuck. Its 100% kino, a visual work of art that evokes powerful feelings without depending on plot. Its the phrase "film is a visual medium" personified.

Top notch as Conan the barbarian.

It would've been stopped at the first day of shooting. Studios are simply too aware of social media trends to allow these films to be made. 300 and also LOTR are relics of their times. It won't be long before Hollywood attempts remakes to wipe those films from public memory.
