T2 Trainspotting

/tv/ hates it but yeah I liked it a lot, focusing on ageing and nostalgia is probably the best route I sequel 20 years down the line can take

It was totally and utterly unnecessary with no teeth to it. Neutered and boring. Only a couple really funny and noteworthy scenes. The Balkan chick was nice to look at but I didn't really get into her character. Diane's scene was great and she is still beautiful. Turning it into a slasher flick in the last fifteen minutes was abysmal and textbook Boyle. The "choose life" rehash was cringeworthy pandering nonsense. I didn't understand Sickboy's motivation for anything he did. Renton was kind of generic in the first movie but it's incredibly noticeable how devoid he is of a personality in this. The less said about Spud actually writing Trainspotting the better. Soundtrack was unmemorable. 1698 scene went on way too long.

Though that's partially because I haven't seen a lot of great films this year. Haven't seen Baby Driver or Wind River, among others

It was pretty good, the choose life scene was shoehorned in so hard though. Even the editing and delivery suddenly went to shit.

What's the difference between Porno and T2? I know the time gap is 10 years less but that's about it.

Compared to SLC Punk 2 it was fucking amazing.
