Ignoring all the autistic screeching in this thread, just watched episode #1, and I thought it was pretty good. It seemed like a much more comedic version of Star Trek. It inspired the same sense of wonder at space exploration with intermittent added jokes. Some were better than others, but overall it was funnier than most things on network TV these days and the plot was pleasant if not spectacular.

I'll keep watching as it comes out but I doubt it gets renewed. I think it's not serious enough for the autismo trekkies (as shown by this thread) and it isn't gag-a-minute to grab the Family Guy audience.. I hope I'm wrong though.

Really depends on the stories they've got.

This was ok for a 1st episode. Backstory, we've got an idea of the universe, the characters aren't terrible, and the action was fine (ship stuff looks pretty good).

It's pretty much Trek with some slapstick, though.
