Don't be ashamed, what is your film of the decade so far?
Unironically War for the planet of the apes

Steve Jobs or Green Room

due to groundbreaking CGI use, kinda agree. Movie is from 2015, yet effects are better than 99% newest movies. This is GOD-TIER CGI, that wont feel dated in 10+ years, unlike capeshits

This is a good choice, so many people hate it though.
I kinda wish it wasn't this... but this maybe be it.
Do they even make good movies anymore? It's been ages (7 years in fact) when I last saw a movie that could MAYBE get a 10/10 from me.
Toy Story 3, the ending message that as people grow up they let childish things go is representative of the 2010's in film, where nearly every movie is rehashed trash or full of propaganda and it's time to let go and find better things to do with your time.

This is honestly one of the most boring movies I've ever seen.
Like, Fury Road is overrated and all, but at least I can see its appeal. But with Big Short? Nothing.
No clear winner, but definitely within
>The VVitch
>Under the Skin
>Dunkirk
>Enemy
>The Grand Budapest Hotel
>Inside Llewyn Davis
>Filth
>Her
>Beyond the Black Rainbow
>Nightcrawler
Good picks?

>Filth
Terrible pacing
>Nightcrawler
Literally no arc
The rest are fine

that's too bad. not op and not my pick for movie of the decade, but it's a very competent fictionalization of the housing crisis. thoroughly enjoyed. definitely not the film of the decade.
My pick is Such a Beautiful Day
Could watch it 1000 times

decent choice but pic related is still Nolan's best work and therefor my film of the decade.

Cure for wellness
While I didnt care for the double fake out ending and that if you paid enough attention you could catch who the antagonist was it was a good experience, plus there was like no one in the theater so i could enjoy myself
Where did all the driveposters go?
beyond the black rainbow
fuck the haters its a fresh movie

Maybe you just enjoy depression and tits.
>>87578293
>The Grand Budapest Hotel

I like most of that better before the CGI.
>>87578782
i mean its one of these two. if someone is making a "movie of the decade" its definitely him. i know he is a meme director but at least his big budget movies actually have substance

meme director doesn't necessarily mean bad, sometimes memes get popular for a good reason. Kubrick is a meme director too. I don't think Nolan is anywhere near as good as Kubrick but he is kind of comparable in the sense that he keeps releasing consistently good high budget movies that rlly makes u think. Also Interstellar parallels 2001: A Space Odyssey in many ways.
