I wouldn't call it flawless. Still, it is one of my all time favourites.
IM GONNA TEAR UP THE FUCKING DANCE FLOOR DUDE
>>87550635
It would be almost unwatchable if not for the incredible effects.
>>87551353
Face it dude the movie was fucking amazing you didnt even know they could do that shit in 1979 made star wars look like a tokusatsu

Average
>>87551237
It's a good movie that gets heavily misinterpreted by pseuds and feminists on the internet.
>>87551255
we hav 2 go deeper *BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMM*
There has never been a flawless movie but countless 9/10s.
>>87551255
nolan doesn't know how to make dreams, everything felt so stiff
>>87551561
Felt the same. It felt mostly empty with some pretty sci-fi scenes.
And what the hell was that blond android man running around in the end?
>muh tears in the rain
That's primary school level poetry!
>>87551589
Both drive and fast and furious belong in the same 3 dollar bin at walmart. Drive had a decent soundtrack I guess
>>87551669
>it's another retard who thinks 10/10 means flawless
>>87551850
Well, the idea was to make "realistic" dreams in order to deceive the dreamer.
>>87551561
Ford intentionally delivered a shit, pat-voice-over in the hope that the execs would hear the shit performance for what it was (since voice-overs kill art by explaining, by removing mystery or self-interpretation). In generating this content, Ford made the major blunder of trusting to the aesthetic sensibilities of studio execs, who loved the overall package so much that they insisted on the voice-over to go with the original theatrical release.
>>87550635
A major plot hole is the ongoing confusion about the number of replicants which are to be eliminated. This cannot be completely explained away as intentional mystery which might involve certain central characters :^), but is instead a flub which opens the imperfect work to interpretation.
What is left is that we remain enamored of Blade Runner, not as a perfect film, but as a very beautiful thing with warts on its underarms which we notice, the more we look at her. And since we are so attached to her, irrationally, even the warts become part of what we love about her, where we would never brook same in another woman.I wonder whether the senior cop's "stop right where you are!" spiel is a script meant to actuate the recently-planted experimental replicant-replicant-hunter to his task.
>>87551949
I saw the cut without the voice over and i thought it was great
10/10 movie I love these "noir" movies that are all drawn out and shit
>>87551669
First reply: accurate but you sound like a shallow dipshit
Second reply: wrong and you are trying too hard
Third reply: you're right, nothing special. But I think you're reading too much into the niche, internet reception of what basically amounts to a decent B-movie
Last reply: Yes, Inception is laughable for someone of your apparent intellectual prowess, but it's not like it hurt anyone. People need big summer flicks and at least it wasnt franchise capeshit schlock
I think if you took the emotion out of your posting, your opinions might come off as compelling. Don't hate for the sake of hating. Think more

Dis
The Shawshank Redemption
No Country for Old Men
The Big Lebowski
Casablanca
Gladiator
Blue Velvet
My definition of "flawless" is that the film clearly and effectively accomplishes everything which it set out to do. Obviously some films have higher ambitions than others and the impact of even "flawless" films can be limited, but from what I've listed I can't really think of anything to be improved (other than scenes with planes in the background in Gladiator).
>>87550635
>flawless
>literally a billion cuts of the movie because the director couldn't decide what he wanted
that's literally the opposite of flawless, you retard
Amadeus
Badlands
Apocalypse Now
Memories of Murder
In the mood for love
Third Man
Vertigo
Floating Weeds
Hero
The Hunt
Manhunter
Paths of Glory
Farewell my Concubine

threads like these are good for weeding out retards

You're the retard anon
>>87552972
>Blue Velvet
still haven't watched this, is it closer to mulholland dr or inland empire?
>>87553444
it's pretty far from both, I want to say it's somewhat close to MD but I don't want another anon to bite my head off. has that dreamlike, pretty gleam that David uses in MD.
>>87551669
10/10
>>87552480
Going with Ex Machina. The whole thing pretty much works perfectly, I wouldn't change anything.
I love Blade Runner but I can pick it apart, there are things that don't work. That sex scene doesn't fit the slow jazz sexy-sax score at all.

Goodfellas: The Shinebox Affair
>>87553678
can confirm
>>87552150
Came here to post this...
It works on multiple levels:
1. It's a satire of the 80's: corporate greed, yuppie culture, shit soap operas etc... And it's actually pretty funny
2. It's a hard sci-fi film about a man turned into a machine.
3. It's an ultra-violent action film.
4. It's really all a retelling of the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
5. Robocop stops a rapist by shooting his dick off
>>87552178
and?
