I want you to post the most brutal, masculine film you know for me to watch it. And when I say brutal I don't mean a lot of gore necessarily, just no pansy ass, vapid emotional stuff. I want to see hard ass men going through hell. Basically the complete opposite of feminized mainstream cinema. Self-hating betas and faggots need not apply, thank you.
Das Boot is pretty gruelling
apocalypto
bone tomahawk

What's the best Messhugah album and why is it Destroy Erase Improve?
The Revenant, Apocalypse Now, The Godfather, Barry Lyndon, There Will Be Blood are the kinds of films I mean.
>>87526078
Excellent one but I watched it
>>87525955
Blood father
Mad max
>>87526131
Watched Apocalypto, Bone Tomahawk might be the one. Come on let's see the high test people
>>87526137
Chaosphere and Catch 33
>>87526137
probably because it's somewhat varied and very consistent
they've been shit ever since the djent trash in 2002
WAKE IN FRIGHT IS WHAT YOU WANT
>>87525955
Whoa, take it easy Timmy.
>>87525955
Problem child 2.

A History of Violence
pretty far from feminist hollywood, it basically argues that there's violence inherent in all of us
>>87525955
Braveheart
>>87525955
I watched Pathfinder last night, and it's pretty brutal
>>87526137
Destroy Erase Improve might or might not be the best Meshuggah album but it's the best album title ever probably
>>87526523
The 1987 one or the 2007 one? Incidentally I've been meaning to watch the 1987 one for some time now
>>87526590
I actually didn't know it was a remake, the 2007 one
I've been reading some Conan the Barbarian comics, and I got that kind of feel from it
no country for old men, pig and diamonds, apocalypsis now
13 Hours. It will make your dick grow a beard.

The Searchers
>>87528979
Downloading this, thank you! Also putting the others in backlog, keep em coming
The Raid: Redemption
Literally just men trapped in a building fighting their way out with kick ass martial arts and machine guns.
>>87525955
Martyrs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dUp2uOcEY0
It might be the best movie ever made

>oawa woo aoo ooohh ahh woo haa hoo haaa ooowooa woa woahhh
Yeah. Maybe not.
I don't hate the movie, but given how over the top and contrived the action scenes are it is really hard to take it too seriously and get 'shocked' by it.
Valhalla Rising, The Rover, Only God Forgives, The Thing.
>>87526137
Obviously Catch 33
>>87529619
>contrived
>over the top
I'm sorry anon but you have shit taste.

Conan the Barbarian, Moby Dick (Gregory Peck), Predator 1 and 2, Hell in the Pacific, 300, High Plains Drifter, LOTR trilogy, Faster, The Road Warrior, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Apocalypto, 3:10 to Yuma (remake; haven't seen old one yet)
Some of these definitely have heavy emotional parts but in a manly sense, rather than a feminized, pansy one.
Come and see
>>87525955
The Pacific series was pretty good and not so much about typical murica dad war heroes like it was at Band of brothers.
The grey

So their Kung-Fu choreographies with dramatic structures akin to a wrestling match are a realistic depiction of how a fight between 4 guys with machetes and an unarmed guy would go down?
Dog Soldiers is about some military men going through some unpleasant times. It's also the second best werewolf movie I've ever seen
>>87525955
The Hidden (1987). No love story, no MUH FAMILY nonsense, just two dudes trying to catch and kill an alien (who likes to kill cops and steal Ferraris while jamming out to 80's metal). You also get to see a stripper get shot like a bazillion times.
>>87525955
The Deer Hunter
Full Metal Jacket
The Good the Bad and the Ugly
Unforgiven
>>87529205
In terms of action it's pretty close, but on the whole I prefer The Raid 2.
I love the claustrophobic atmosphere and immersion of the first, but the second one is just generally more polished and looks amazing.
Fight scenes are better in 2 imo but they're more set-piecey.
The birdcage
>>87529924
Second best werewolf movie? You have my attention now because I have that as my fav. What's your first?
Conan the barbarian.
Predator.
Master and Commander Far Side of the World
Gladiator
Excalibur
>>87529903
No, because if it were realistic the unarmed guy would be dead within 20 seconds.
300
>>87530138
Not him but I'd guess American Werewolf in London
>>87530189
Master and Commander is pretty brutal here and there, but with all the galapagos stuff i wouldn't call it relentless
>>87530236
Well then we both agree.
It's an epic kung-fu saga, hard to take at face value, and never intended to be anything else. Much like Doom the videogame has glorious gore in it, but doesn't really unsettle anyone because it is so over the top.
>>87530371
I guess I need to get around to watching that. Caught part of it once when I was younger but never watched the whole thing.
Any and all Riddick movies.
