It could be interesting if they go the psychological thriller route of First Blood instead of the dumb action movies the other entries in the series are

PTSD manifests itself differently in men and women and it would be interesting to explore Rambo's trauma from another angle.

It's kind of like that upcoming female Lord of the Flies remake. If they change the story around to accommodate how women express their dominance hierarchy differently than men do it could be an interesting companion piece to the original story
