To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. It's a decent show but the humour isn't super intellectual, it's base humour and cheap laughs. I wouldn't fool myself that I'm the elite because I watched it.
Cheers had better comedy but it's cool he went on to have a successful show afterwards, I don't begrudge him having a hit show.
