Did anyone actually like the reboot of Karate Kid?

Because I kinda' did. It was an enjoyable romp that managed to put a modern spin on the old movie, and somehow not feel like it violated it. Jackie did a good job showing emotion beyond """wacky""" and even Jaden managed to act a LITTLE every now and then.

The choreography of the karate was entertaining and though insanely predictable (as is the always the case with remakes) I found the plot fun and well-paced.

It was overall a solid 8/10 movie that I'd gladly re-watch if I found myself in the need for some PG-13 martial arts action again.

Jade Smith could easily have done a sequel and maybe even a third one, and if it retained even a fraction of the originals charm it would have been the weird little sleeper-hit the first remake was.
