Here in Aus it was just a bunch of mouth breathing losers cheering and laughing at the unfunny shit in an attempt to lighten the mood because they were scared. There was literally a group containing 3 ugly fat chicks, a balding Manlet, a fat neck beard and a guy wearing a fedora an so they were all autisticially whispering loudly about every fucking scene in the film.

So yes, I think people found it a bit scary

Yeah, the movie is an adaption of the novel with a few differences here and there. I love the book personally but I don't mind a couple of changes myself. Plus the miniseries as a whole was nearly a different take on the novel because so much of it was its own thing.

9/10. My only gripe really is Finn not getting enough back story compared to the other kids, making him seem like a comedic relief from start to finish.

The cinematography feels pretty natural idk, it makes it feels like just a movie instead of a horror movie, most of the scenes are taken place during bright day time. The only thing that sticks out is the forced perspective thing they used everytime Pennywise jumped at the kids.
