How did the Raimi films change in tone as they progressed?
Raimi is really good at mixing different tones. In the Evil Dead he mixes horror and comedy, while in Spider-Man he mixes drama and comedy. The right amount of over-the-top acting and cheesy dialogue really sets those movies apart from most of MCU's diarrhea.
The real question is why wasn't Eric Forman not Spiderman instead?
