Yep. To the Poles credit, the Jews tried for years to identify them as collaborators in the Holocaust for killing and turning in their own share of Jews.

But unlike the Germans, Polish historians and academics worked immediately in nipping that narrative in the bud to prevent it from defining their future.

On the other hand, Germans should have just acted like the Japs, and embrace their nationalism. Too many Germans were themselves commies though IMO, and far too complacent as a people to begin with. They'd walk off a cliff if leadership requested it.
