4 days until you float too
>>
This new Pennywise has to be the scariest movie monster we've seen in years. Literally years. There's two scenes in this movie that absolutely sent shivers down my spine. First when Pennywise possesses the slideshow and we finally get to see his very creepy and mental face in the final scene. What a build-up! I nearly pissed myself.

The other one is in the basement, first we see the excellent performance by Georgie's actor. You'll float too never has sounded more epically scary. And then Pennywise rises from the waters. I jumped in my chair and still do when watching this. I can tell I will be on the edge of my seat in theatres this september.

The movie itself seems to capture that 80s feeling we've seen in Stranger Things and other important work. Do your part and see it in theaters. Be a part of history.

If anything, she raped them. This shouldn't be included in any film.
>>
>>87311651
Have you read his sober books? The man is TERRIBLE sober.
>>
>>87311814
My biggest problem with King is that he has great core ideas. 'Ancient shapeshifting monster awakens every 27 years to prey on children and it's up to a ragtag group of childhood friends to put a stop to it.' is a terrific pitch. But then he goes off the rails with sexual abuse, space turtles and psychopathic bullies.
>>
>>87311934
The sex abuse was fine. His constant recycling of ridiculously abusive bullies gets tiring, though.
>>
>>87312011
Agreed. There's literally no in between. They're always psychopathic murderers at age 12 or whatever.
>>
>>87312011
I'd also like to add the biggest problem with IT is when they become adults.
Then you find out they never moved on beyond those childhood situations, they keep putting themselves back into them. And then they just become unlikeable.
Like, yes, abusive father is bad when you are a kid. When you are a grown ass woman who's had THREE abusive husbands, maybe the problem isn't them.
>>
>>87312125
I generally prefer Stephen King's short stories because they don't give him room to go into his usual weird indulgences.
>>
>>87308092

That's a very good argument, but ponder this. Is there a character that could EVER defeat Uchiha Madara? And I'm not talking about Edo Tensei Uchiha Madara. I'm not talking about Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara either. Hell, I'm not even talking about Juubi Jinchuuriki Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan doujutsus (with the rikodou abilities and being capable of both Amateratsu and Tsukuyomi genjutsu), equipped with his Gunbai, a perfect Susano'o, control of the juubi and Gedou Mazou, with Hashirama Senju's DNA implanted in him so he has mokuton kekkei genkai and can perform yin yang release ninjutsu while being an expert in kenjutsu and taijutsu. I’m also not talking about Kono Yo no Kyuseishu Futarime no Rikudo Juubi Jinchuuriki Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan (which is capable of Enton Amaterasu, Izanagi, Izanami and the Tsyukuyomi Genjutsu), his two original Rinnegan (which grant him Chikushodo, Shurado, Tendo, Ningendo, Jigokudo, Gakido, Gedo, Bansho Ten’in, Chibaku Tensei, Shinra Tensei, Tengai Shinsei and Banbutsu Sozo) and a third Tomoe Rinnegan on his forehead, capable of using Katon, Futon, Raiton, Doton, Suiton, Mokuton, Ranton, Inton, Yoton and even Onmyoton Jutsu, equipped with his Gunbai (capable of using Uchihagaeshi) and a Shakujo because he is a master in kenjutsu and taijutsu, a perfect Susano’o (that can use Yasaka no Magatama ), control of both the Juubi and the Gedou Mazou, with Hashirama Senju’s DNA and face implanted on his chest, his four Rinbo Hengoku Clones guarding him and nine Gudodama floating behind him AFTER he absorbed Senjutsu from the First Hokage, entered Rikudo Senjutsu Mode, cast Mugen Tsukuyomi on everybody and used Shin: Jukai Kotan so he can use their Chakra while they are under Genjutsu.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewers head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

Attention to the wrong things. Tim Curry's IT was so fantastic because they made his eyes look soulless and hollow. It made him look inhuman - or just something pretending to be human. Also, that actor is trying too hard to put on a scary face when what made Tim Curry's performance so unnerving is that he rarely put on a face that would give away any intentions or emotions other than glee.

Probably when he started bitching about the best one. Though obviously with all the movie's he's had, some were fine like Salem's Lot.

The sequel is when they are adults and come back to Derry to fight Pennywise again, literally the second half of the book as well as the TV movie.

You're an idiot, kill yourself.

You don't have to go full on decomposing, just add some of the odd touches from the book. The pure silver eyes, feathers stuffed in it's mouth, things like that. King put a ton of detail into most of his scenes and the classic just leaved most of it out.

No I'll wait for it to come out in Digital HD. I might during one of my drunk nights be dumb enough to watch a cam rip. I'll probably do it with the reasoning "eh /tv/ is going to spoil every scene of the movie and twist every scene into sounding stupid anyways I may as well watch this shit cam rip so I don't have to avoid threads for 4 months XD"

I booted up Audible to listen to IT a second time after getting it for free with an Audible trial all those years ago. I noticed on my account since then they've given me 7 fucking credits. That's 7 free audio god damn what does Amazon have to gain handing free books out like that? #LITTY
>>
>>87309689

Isn't that about right though? The last C rated movie I remember in my local theaters was the Evil Dead remake, and that movie literally rained blood and had a chainsaw blowjob.
>>
>>87321496
Gets you invested in the platform, makes you feel like you would be losing out if you didn't keep using it. 7 free books means nothing to them if they get you to buy even one.

Patrick Hockstetter. The one with the longer hair.
