I've been fat since early childhood when I started eating like a machine as a coping mechanism for loss. It's nothing to take pride in. It's debilitating, disgusting, and you're essentially wrapped up in a suffocating suit of weights all the time.

Like/dislike is the only honest rating system. If I can pick a number then I always get the best results by picking a minimum or maximum value. Like/dislike is the same voting system as 1-5, except nobody wastes their vote.

Then the star rating wasn't for you. I frequently voted 2-4 stars to try and get the most accurate reflection of my interests (hopefully for better recommendations, if the recommendation system was better).
I even found myself wishing they let my vote partial stars, but that's partially because I was annoyed the system's estimate of my ratings would show partial stars, and yet I could never make my votes match those so if the partial star was more accurate I would sometimes just not rate cause that would throw it off.

This 100%. Seeing this fat acceptance really annoys me to no end, just because I know how fat kids feel, especially if they don't have a sport to fall back on to justify their size. People talk about losing weight like it's the worst thing to suggest to someone, but you should always be looking to improve your life.

Certain behaviors should be shamed, others obviously more severely then others, but there is no reason you shouldn't be mindful of what you eat and how often you excersise.

Anyone who grew up fat should be able to understand. It's hell. You're automatically a reject, and it becomes much harder to make friends past that because it feels disgusting being in your own skin. Since you're a kid, you don't have the willpower to escape obesity on your own, so you fail repeatedly and get worse.
