>>87301355
how is that not enough proof
we only barely got Deadpool as an r rated movie and look how sucessfull that turned out
how is that not enougb proof when so many directors up to this point and what have you , have cut their creation down to suit it best to a pg-13 rating and you see that in many cases
too much of that kikes cock in your mouth to help you think clearly?
>>
>>87301469
I legitimately can't think of too many successful PG-13 movies that would have been made better by more swearing or gratuitous violence.
>>
>>87301519
all capeshit moviies (for instance) would totally be kino`s if not for disney and the devastating pg rating
just imagine if they were all R rated and had enough creative freedom to do what that allows
the result automatic capekino
>>
>>87301519
Not that anon, but many directors set out with a rating in mind which means PG-13 movies are designed to be that way. Making an R rated film from the get go can change it drastically based on the director's wishes. It's often a foundational decision.
>>
>>87301598
Like what though? Something like Iron Man or Captain America certainly doesn't need to be R-rated.
>>
>>87301614
True which is why Deadpool ended up so good. I'll also say that franchises that began as R-rated should stay that way, i.e. Terminator, Alien and Predator.
>>
>>87301631

also not looking fucking cartoonish especially with their outfits, rather having a more serious tone in general
its not suppose to be all fun and games you`re suppose to feel real emotions and real crushing threat when watching capeshit thats how its meant to be thats what woild make it absolute kino
and no it doesnt have to be edgy or cringy as eampled by Logan with forced cringy swearing just for the sake of it
it can absolutely be done subtly , creatively
>>
>>87295916
Studios are starting to realize they all don't need to cram every big budget movie they have into the summer season where they all just cannibalize each other. That's why you're seeing blockbusters like Thor and Kingsman and Star Wars release in the Fall. If these movies had released sometime in the summer, then overall box office would be above or on par with previous years.

Of course laying things out logically like this doesn't get clicks so the media is portraying the summer box office being down like the sky is falling and the industry is about to collapse.
>>

I'm seeing a lot of these articles blaming the consumers for things failing but it's not the consumer's job to prop up businesses. It's the businesses' job to entice consumers to consume their product. If movies aren't making any money then either the theatre format in general (including ticket and concession prices) isn't something people want, or the movies are just shitty and nobody wants to go watch them and you should try and make movies people want to watch.

This, and Logan Lucky didn't set the world on fire anyway. It's not even enough for a movie to have a good RT score, Hollywood's dug themselves into this corner where they've trained people to only see capeshit, but general audiences are still experiencing superhero/blockbuster fatigue, so their response is to just stop watching movies entirely (Except for cheap horror rollercoasters like Annabelle, that stuff just prints money forever I guess)

http://www.businessinsider.com/sean-parker-screening-room-backlash-2017-5

"Everything you've heard in the press about studios and theaters wanting to explore a PVOD window, nothing about that revolves around Screening Room," a source close to the talks told Business Insider.

Of the proposed $50 rental fee, which would make a movie available to a viewer for 48 hours, 20% would go to the movie's distributor, a participating theater chain would get up to $20, each customer would receive two tickets to see that rented title at their local theater. Screening Room would take 10%.

Sources told Business Insider that all the bells and whistles Screening Room was selling wouldn't matter until the studios and theaters agree on a PVOD window.

https://redef.com/original/disney-as-a-service-why-disney-is-closer-than-ever-to-walts-60-year-old-vision

In August 2017, a majority stake in MoviePass was sold to the analytics firm Helios and Matheson. At the same time, the company announced that it would lower its price for unlimited films to $9.95 per month; Lowe explained that "after years of studying and analysis we found that people want to go to the movies more often, but the pricing keeps going up, and that prevents them from going more. We're making it more affordable for people." Helios and Matheson's CEO Ted Farnsworth stated the goal of the pricing changes were to increase its userbase, as they aimed to analyze viewing habits for the purposes of targeted advertising. Farnsworth compared the model to those of Facebook and Google, where their free services are subsidized by the collection of personal information for advertising

Do you think movies decades ago were generally better? If so, in what ways?
>>
>>87315686
I'm not entirely sure I would say they were better, but the offer they presented to consumers was more tantalizing.

Television was fucking garbage for decades. The concept of streaming sounded like sci-fi. Describing the internet in general to someone 40 years ago would probably blow their mind.

Back then, blowing a few bucks for 90 minutes of entertainment wasn't that bad of a proposition. The problem is, everything else has caught up to cinema, while it's stagnating.

not even meming. It's this.
>>
>>87315927
Also, let's talk about home entertainment set ups.

I can fucking buy a 4k television, and deck my house out with Dolby Atmos. It's not cheap, but I can. What sheer technical advantages does the cinema hold over the consumer? Especially going forward. 8k is a possibility now. Owning a 70+ inch screen that I'm sitting a few feet away. The cinema experience is near completely replicatable.
>>
>>87316054
Popular vote of the entire country doesn't matter and has never mattered. Popular vote of each individual state "wins" you that state and a certain amount of points per state and those points are all that matter. Popular vote at the state level is all that matters because of that.

>>
>>87316581
Also if we want to go to popular vote we need mandatory voting. Popular vote doesn't work if only 40% of the country is voting. Part of this might be people used to the electoral college and some states being hard red or blue and the other votes basically not counting so people would need to be eased into having their votes actually count in these states. Just going straight to popular vote would be a massive fuck up.
>>
>>87298954
This is true, but misleading. Spielberg pushed for the creation of PG-13 because he wanted to allow films to be scarier and more violent without being full on mature. Before that you only had PG and adult, so people were complaining that children's films were too scary. Years later ranking standards changed so that PG-13 was gutted to be less and less violent.

Technically Spielberg is responsible, but you can't blame him for companies becoming spineless decades later.

Do you mean niggers? They are not people, they are some kind of hybrid apes.

Why do people keep pretending hollywood is dying or in any danger at all?
Even Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and The Mummy did okay and Disney and Universal both had movies that broke a billion

Why isn't anybody going to the movies to watch our anti-white propaganda and all-female remakes?

Yes.
Start making good movies. Start by hiring real writers and torching the greenscreens. It'll probably cause world economy to collapse though, considering how many useless fucks are involved in creating CGI shit no one but chinks wants.

>hollywood datamining

everything is a sequel, and reuses the same actors being the same people as they are on social media.

>too many alternatives
>most screenplays are based on books and its almost a physical law the movie will ruin the source material

everything is a play on nostalgia which basically suggests on its own that movies and media in the past were better and ore fulfilling

the endless virtue signalling of zuckerberg interest groups

facebook ruined movies because the experience of seeing a movie d talking to your friends about it isn't fun anymore.
>>
>>87315686
Also overuse of CGI. further animated films are all pixar/dreamworks.

disney bought marvel therefore ruined , and dc doesn't have the balls to be totally different and grungy and are trying to pull off the mcu formula which was only good for 1 avengers movie

i can just tell everything comes from a public relations firm rather than pure inspiration

there are actually movies so bad they are good ad beecome cult clasics, hollywood can't do that

The problem is millennial numale faggots would rather spend their money on avocado toast than support an American institution.

Listen, there's still plenty of great films being made. It's your duty as an American to ensure that we remain on top. Support your local theater. Don't complain if the movies are stupid or have too much CGI; I'm much older than you and I still know how to turn my brian off and have a good time. I watched the most recent Transformers with no expectations and had a BLAST. Seriously stop being so cynical and buy a ticket already.

yea im black and the agenda is obvious.

i enjoyed it when i could watch a movie and not feel like im being socially engineered to think a certain way.

I remember when brokeback mountain was abig deal, now its like theyr throwing gays at us left and right.

it was better when interacial relationships weren't being pushed as normal, rather were allowed to be a relationship outside if the context of race.

no its like everyone saw the movie get out and noticed the absurd pushing of black man white female relationships out of nowhere.

what about asian male black female? theyd never do it because they want china tickets and that where alot of the problem resides.

The last time Paramount isn't releasing anything. Sony is only releasing Diversity movies. There were almost no movies released in August.

If they just started making movies again that don't force diversity (((they)))'ll be fine.

But they don't. The big city states are compensated by having more overall voting power than any other state.

Logan Lucky
>action-heist movie with many white redneck characters
>92%, 7.5 on Rottentomatoes
>Budget-29mill, Box Office 27mill
Girls Trip
>comedy about black women going to parties and watching male strippers
>89%, 6.8 on Rottentomatoes
>27mill budget, 127mill box office almost all in North America during the summer but rated R so probably not many people under 18 saw it

Financial reasons seem to often be why people in Hollywood seem to be increasingly having black actors in major roles of movies released in the US.

It is only if they desire to. Nobody is forced to pay for private services or goods they don't desire to use or have. If a business doesn't have anything that interests consumers, it is only logical this business fails.
