How was Nick the bad guy? Except for his first run for mayor and running on apposing the housing plan.

What I learned from this is that socialized housing works only if you properly vet people beforehand. Also if they feel an ownership to their property.

>run for mayor opposing public housing
>housing goes through anyway
>you lose your job
>act like the whole thing was your idea in the first place
>be praised as a civil rights hero

I went into this with hype, and while it was a good show - the entire thing came across as really fucked up.
Like - If I worked hard my whole life to buy a house, set up a family and community and some cunt for no reason decides to just turn it into a ghetto, I'd be furious too.
It really made me mad. People shouldn't be allowed to dictate who and where you live like that.

The first generation who gets to live in a brand new social housing will always be grateful and take care of their home. It's the subsuquent generations who feel that they have no ownership that's the problem.
