A terribly designed electronic shifter for the transmission.

Each gear does not have a distince position, instead, you must hold the gear selector forward for several seconds until it moves from D to N then R and finally P.

The only feedback being the little illuminated letters on the shifter.

awful design, but also a bonehead for not parking his car.

these two, mostly because they're all done by the same director.
blue ruin is sort of an anti-thriller, it sets itself up as one but is more focused on trying different things, the main character is a dope who barely manages to get by, and the whole thriller story is taken into a realistic sense (self-surgery isn't easy)
murder party hits me really hard, i don't know why. maybe it's because it's easy to tell it was literally done on no budget and that everyone involved in making it were just friends of the director.
