woooh... so the Milk was actually the villain who was subverting society and Dan White who you thought was the antagonist was actually the protag the whole time.

I like how the movie makes the audience have to work. Its heavily implied that Milk is recruiting young men into the fag movement, but tonally the movie makes the bold choice to show it as a positive.

This is of course referenced again during the debate scene.
