> Hollywood will never make back to back Tom Sawyer and Hick Finn adaptations with the same cast
>America is far too PC to present accurate adaptations of either book

Doubt it. The strengths of the books come from Twain’s wizened and cynical voice juxtaposing with those of the characters which doesn’t translate well to film. The plots themselves are nothing special and if you’re relying on kid actors to sell the show you’re ever guaranteed a good performance.
Huck finn loved the bbc

>hollywood make a tom sawyer adaptation

In contrast to this Elijah Wood narrates the free Huck Finn audio book on Audible and constantly jump between a low soulful black voice and an energetic child
>We need to rescue Jim from slavery!
>Jim was actually a free man the entire time
