100 Documentaries on Kurt Cobian, None on Layne Staley.
Why?
Filmmakers are plebs
Kurt Cobain killed himself at the height of Nirvana's popularity, while Layne Staley wasted away from years of addiction as Alice in Chains faded into irrelevance.

His music is cringe-inducing and aged like milk.
>>87212460
Cobains story is more interesting
>>87212460
Cause Alice in Chains were shite.
>>87212460
>Layne Staley
Who?

1 beats none.
Because
>Nirvana were more famous than AiC
>Kurt was far more photogenic than Layne
>Kurt's death has some mystery to it, Layne is just him starving himself into the grave
Cobain was a fascinating character regardless of what you thought of his music
Staley was much more esoteric
HERE THEY COME TO SNUFF THE ROOSTER
>>87212460
because 16 years old girls love nirvana as some kind of rebellious feelings

>Vietnam kino
>Rooster starts playing

Layne Staley wasnt the main driving force behind AiC. Jerry Cantrell is the primary songwriter and driving force behind the band.

The songs all have that weird synthesizer which I don't think is necessary. I like his live performances a lot, though.

Nirvana had more impact on pop-culture.
His death also is kind of mysterious and added to that legacy.

I love Layne, but there's not much of a movie about a guy holed up in his apartment for years doing heroin and shitting his pants

There is in the sense that he is always being overshadowed by Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. Not that it really added to his personal demons, but it can be used as part of the film itself.
Other than that, it is simply the tragedy of a drug addict, so not all too interesting. His sudden return on MTV and immediate decline afterwards can be seen as his struggle to become better, but ultimately failing.
meanwhile
who shot kurbain and y he so nihilistic
So yeah, much more of a personality than Stayley who, I think, was jus laid back.
